“And once the storm is over, you won’t remember how you made it through, how you managed to survive. You won’t even be sure, whether the storm is really over. But one thing is certain. When you come out of the storm, you won’t be the same person who walked in. That’s what this storm’s all about.”
—
Haruki Murakami
I definitely tried today, didn’t do the best job but tried
“Always remember you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think”
— A. A. Milne (via perrfectly)

“Everybody has a secret world inside of them. All of the people of the world, I mean everybody. No matter how dull and boring they are on the outside, inside them they’ve all got unimaginable, magnificent, wonderful, stupid, amazing worlds. Not just one world. Hundreds of them. Thousands maybe.”
— Neil Gaiman, The Sandman
im not trying my hardest but im very tired which i think should be taken into consideration
That skull? That’s a memento mori. That’s Latin for “Remember, you will die.” In Rome, victorious generals, they would return from war, and so they didn’t get blinded by glory, they would have a slave behind them who would just say, “Remember, you’re only human. You are gonna die.” – Marvel’s The Punisher
“And if somebody else has it much worse, that doesn’t really change the fact that you have what you have. Good and bad.”
— Stephen Chbosky // The Perks of Being a Wallflower
Humans are bad at most things. Love, relationships, parenting, holding ourselves together, being dependable. But there is one thing we are so good at, that we are in fact, spectacular at it. We are all so damned good at being broken open. It’s how the light gets out. It’s how we know it’s there. Because once in a while, someone comes along who tells us life is so much more than just existing. Someone comes along to remind us, to stop being so small and so human. And do better by being so much more.
Nikita Gill, The Light (After Iain S. Thomas)
“I don’t mind waiting, if I know you’re going to come back. And when you aren’t here, I think of what you’re doing.”
— Albert Camus, from Selected Works; “The Plague,” published c. 1947

Homesick is just a state of mind for me, that I’m always missing someone or some place or something, I’m always trying to get back some imaginary somewhere. My life has been one long longing.

Books were safer than other people anyway.
