As she poked his stomach and admitted to knowing what was going on, he looked up at her wearily.
“Yeah, well… He seems to have no problem showing up to my home uninvited.” He gave a roll of his eyes when she told him not to get stressed. He was already stressed. He was a big pile of stress. And as she went to the door, he got up to get himself a drink and light a cigar.
“Me? Stressed? Never,” he called to her in a sarcastic tone as he poured himself six shots of tequila and a glass of scotch.
Sinatra growled a little as he was slid to the side, but stayed out of the way once the door was opened. It seemed he liked Felix about as much as Ben did.
Felix was fidgeting on the doorstep when the door was finally opened, his finger reaching forward to ring the bell again and stopping abruptly when he saw Zoe standing there… In nothing but an oversized button-up shirt that clearly didn’t belong to her and smelled so strongly of Benjamin’s cologne he wanted to hurl.
“Oh. So he actually found a woman ‘oo would accept that 'is ego is much larger than 'is dick size,” Felix hummed with a slow nod, pressing his lips together. His eyes scanned her briefly, his tongue pressing to the inside of his cheek as a small smirk brushed his lips.
“Darlin’, I’m pretty sure last time we saw each other, you thought 'f me as a lot more than trash. What 'appened? Benny gotten into y’ pretty li'l 'ead? Or y’ jus’ think you’re better cause you’re datin’ the more successful one out 'f the two of us?” Shoving his hands into his pockets, his brows quirked upward.
“Did 'e even tell ya why I’m 'ere?”
She shook her head, the smug look on her face still there. “The last time we saw each other, I left you in a very compromising position. As I recall.” She hummed a bit and smiled again. “None of your business what Ben and I have or do and if you ever thought I was one to chase after money then you really don’t know me very well.”
She crossed her arms underneath her chest, the shirt riding up slightly. “No he didn’t tell me actually. He’s a bit pissed off that you’re here in the first place, as I’m sure you know.”
She glanced back into the house to try and see if she could see what Ben was doing but she couldn’t. She bit her lip a little bit. She was flirty and funny with Felix but she was still worried about Ben. She didn’t want him to worry about this. He already had too much on his mind.
She stepped out of the way of the door and snapped at Sinatra to follow her. He stopped growling finally and perked up at the attention Zoe gave him. “Wipe your feet or take off your shoes. The floors are expensive.” She smirked and turned her back to him, walking away with Sinatra following her. She made her way back to Ben and wrapped her arms around his torso before Felix could see. She ran her hand through his hair and gave him a sad smile.
“Some of those better be for me because there’s no way.” She shook her head and took two of the shots, downing them herself before Ben could grab them. She returned to his arms and kissed up his neck and left a small peck under his chin before looking up at him. “Tell me what you want to do right now. Forget Felix for a second. What do you need?”
