MJ literally thinks Sookie is nuts for going to Fangtasia for the first time in a freaking sundress or whatever it's called. MJ tried to blend in by wearing a leather jacket, black corset top, and torn jeans with fishnet tights and then there's Sookie sticking out like a sore thumb looking like she's part of the Vampire buffet. MJ and Sookie may be mentally linked, but MJ had no clue what Sookie was thinking when she chose to wear that dress.
MJ and Jason definitely have a sibling dynamic. They even picked up each other's expressions and body movements to the point where sometimes they move in sync. Jason absolutely refers to MJ as his sister and reams out anyone who tries to say otherwise. MJ is pretty much the same way whenever people try to say they're not brother and sister.
MJ is literally the only one who is utterly and completely oblivious to the fact that Sam has been in love with her since the moment she handed him her job application. All the signs are there but she completely misreads them. It quite literally doesn't occur to MJ that Sam could possibly feel the same way about her that she feels about him.
I just had a scene for Strange World pop into my head that has me cackling. I so need to rewrite this better but here's the gist:
MJ goes into Sam's trailer and finds someone dressed like this in there:
She freaks and starts throwing things at him while trying to get out of the trailer only to stop when Sam shouts that it's him and takes off the head cover thing, prompting MJ to shout, "Is this what you meant by a workaround?!"
Sam innocently shrugs, "Well, sort of. It was Lafayette's idea."
All adrenaline leaves MJ in that moment after hearing that then goes, "That tracks."
MJ is a very tactile person. Silky sheets, cool grass, ice, hot wax, rough surfaces, vibrations, etc. Since she can't touch people without getting overloaded with their thoughts, feelings, and memories if the contact lasts long enough, she'll take what she can get elsewhere. This is why I think MJ would enjoy being bitten by a vampire...like a lot. Her abilities don't work on vampires so when she's bitten not only is there skin contact but other feelings that she can't experience on her own.
Not sure if I'm going to stick to this because a lot of the time my characters have a mind of their own and don't care about my plot outlines lol, but originally I was going to have MJ and Eric be in a romantic/sexually beneficial relationship but the more I think about it I don't think I want that. I definitely want them to be very important to each other, but I'm not sure if I want them involved like that. We shall see.

After changing MJ's FC, my cousin told me that the actress that played Tessa Young in After could absolutely be MJ's and Sam's daughter and OMG SHE'S SO RIGHT! I MEAN LOOK AT THEM!
This one came out much better in my opinion.

I've been toying with the idea of changing MJ's FC for awhile now and for the life of me I cannot find one that says 'MJ' to me. I doubt that makes sense, but that's how my brain works.
Skyler Samuels was as close as I could get but I don't see her as MJ anymore.

After watching a bunch of True Blood episodes, I've decided to rewrite the first few episodes of Strange World before continuing the story.
Some things I'll be changing/fixing/adding:
MJ and Lafayette will have a deeper friendship
MJ thinks she's telepathic like Sookie, but instead she's kind of like Telepathic Empath. When she touches someone she gets hit with the memories that caused the emotion in that moment or what they're imagining along with the emotions with it. She will also eventually be able to project emotions/triggering thoughts to another person to make them see in their mind and feel what she wants them to. Or if her emotion is so strong it will kind of 'burst' out of her in a wave and makes those around her feel it as intensely as she does.
I'll fix the continuity of everyone thinking Sam has a thing for Sookie. Everyone sees how obvious it is what Sam feels for MJ but she's oblivious.
I also plan on adding in more of MJ's side effects of Bill's blood.
Bill doesn't have any romantic feelings for MJ but, despite how much she hates it, he's very protective of her and not just because of what she means to Sookie. I had the idea that he knew her ancestor and because he couldn't protect them, he is determined to protect MJ as best as he's able to. Or something like that.
Probably more to come
I originally was going to have MJ being Sookie and Jason's unknown half sister, which would make MJ part Fairy, too, but the more I watch I'm not sure if I want to do that anymore.
I have ideas for later in the series that wouldn't make sense if Sookie and MJ were very close (like they are now). I want MJ to more of a darkside than she currently does but not sure how to make it work.
Now I have the idea of MJ greatly resembling her ancestor, not to the point of Doppelganger but close enough. Anywho, I'm thinking their ancestor was obsessed with Vampires and happened to find one that found her intriguing, so they didn't glamor her. Okay, so, I'm thinking that the ancestor was curious to find out what would happen if she constantly drank vampire blood when she was pregnant so that's what she did.
The kid was born a human with an Empathic ability where they could manipulate emotions. They couldn't glamor memories but 'glamour' emotions if that makes any sense.
Okay so the ability lessens through the generations until MJ is born because her father is of a Fae bloodline. Between the essence of the vampire blood that's been passed down and her Fae blood, her Empathic ability and manipulation is greatly enhanced. Instead of power of light she can control darkness/shadows and can negate Fae magic.
Does any of this make sense? I'm thinking it should work because I just finished the Billith season and that was nuts, so my idea should be plausible lol.
Omg I JUST realized that the actress that plays Rikki is the FC I chose for Harper Alden (Blair's mom) and it taking everything I have not to make an Alden connection.
Back to the whole ancestor drinking vampire blood constantly while pregnant thing, I have additional ideas.
MJ's ancestor was a 'shadow fae' Empathic instead of telepathic, can conjure shadows and darkness instead of light, etc. They're very rare and are considered outcasts.
Warlow meets her (Gonna start referring to the ancestor as Amara so I don't have to keep saying MJ's ancestor lol). Okay, so Warlow meets Amara way back when and is intrigued by her/feels a kind of kindred spirit vibe with her. So it's his blood that Amara drinks when she's pregnant and when the child is born it's assumed they are a normal halfling because they child presents with telepathy and light, until they're exposed to another's blood for the first time.
When they're exposed to another's blood, they become a sort of living vampire. They still age and all that, but have fangs, crave blood, aren't as fast or strong as a vampire but faster and stronger.
With each generation the living vampire blood is diluted in a way so when they come into contact with another's blood they don't become a true 'living vampire' just things change. Until MJ that is.
MJ has the shadow fae lineage, light Fae lineage, and the living vampire lineage flowing through her veins so when she and Sookie share their blood as kids to bind themselves together as sisters, MJ becomes a 'living vampire'.
MJ's mother would then tell her the story of her family how it was passed down through the generations and makes MJ swear to never tell a soul, not even Sookie, and she never does. MJ is able to lock away her living vampire half, in a sense, behind her 'light', but her shadows often fight for it to be let free. MJ doesn't always keep control, but she manages.
I get how insane these ideas are, but I plan to get them all out before I rewrite anything so I don't end up changing my mind down the road and whatnot.

Hey there. I was so excited to see that you had updated your True Blood story! I loved the interaction between MJ and Pam and Eric that was great! I cant wait to find out what Sam had in the box! Any chance of a hint or spoiler there? Much Love.

I don't want to give away what's in the box because I don't want to ruin the scene I have for the reveal XD. What I will say though is that Sam went to Lafayette for...'advice' with it.
