First off, I want to clarify that this isn't a personal attack on Minty, nor was it made out of disrespect. She has been lying about this since at least February 2nd. This post is simply to raise awareness of what some readers do not know...that they are being fed AI work FROM Mintyy without their knowledge.
Frequency of Uploads. What stood out to everyone on her blog was how often she posted. Mintyy has had days when she’s posted three requests all in one day. She’s brushed this aside, mentioning that “multiple naps” help her in posting lengthy headcanons or requests throughout the day. The typical person balancing school or a job is not posting this often, assuming they are the ones writing their posts.
2. Difference in Writing Styles Involving Smut or Heavier Topics. Mintyy’s Blog mainly focuses on lighthearted themes or emotional struggles, steering clear of more serious subjects. For instance, there are noticeable differences when she writes explicit content (smut), that clearly contrasts with her usual writing style and tone. It’s a lot more relaxed, and you’ll usually find some misspellings compared to her other standard works. I’ve been wondering about this, mainly because of the content filter for Chat GPT and other AI bots. As you can see, the smut, especially during February and March, has a noticeably different writing style compared to her other fics. There are some grammatical mistakes, and the writing lacks detail.
3. Mintyy's Blatant Denial. Minty has faced these allegations in the past because of her readers' skepticism. She has strongly denied using AI in her works, stating that she finds AI to be quite unfavorable and comparing it to theft, which is a fair comparison. Mintyy is aware that using AI has negative effects on real authors, and she has been dishonest about her usage. This not only confirms her as an AI user but also points out her dishonesty, which is the most significant issue here.
I had solid proof of her using AI, so I decided to reach out last night to see if she would respond honestly. She denied the allegations, and furthermore, she didn’t even give me a human response. Instead, AI handled my anonymous ask, which I’ll discuss next.
4. AI Ask Replies. The main clue that raised my suspicions was the possible use of AI in her asks. Several people have mentioned it already, but the level of formality in them were a big hint about her posts.
Concrete Evidence and an AI Prompt Leftover in Her Work.
It seems this is not the first instance of an AI prompt showing up in her work. A friend of mine mentioned they saw one, before I noticed the one in the screenshot, while reading a Variant Mark x Reader fic. I decided to take a look at her blog to find out why a reader might think that. I came across an old AI prompt in a Peter Parker fanfic she had shared. Also, in several fics, the perspective tends to jump around a lot, shifting between 2nd and 3rd person quite often. While it’s not a major issue, she included AI art in a DC header for her masterlist.
Currently, Mintyy has taken down her blog after I responded to her with proof of her, including the prompt in her fic. I created this post to raise awareness for readers who feel let down by Mintyy and have been engaging with AI without realizing it. Mintyy has a major platform that isn’t rooted in authenticity and truth. A number of past readers of Mintyy have encouraged me to raise awareness about the situation and share evidence, especially since she has a lot of supporters defending her. It looks like she might have some alternate accounts that she uses to defend herself or send herself messages, both with the help of AI.
