sul sul! my name is strawberrie, my pronouns are she/her, and i'm a queer twenty year old living in the eastern united states trying to balance my hobbies, college, work, and my social life!

i've been playing the sims since sims 2. i started out on my auntie's DSI, then moved to the sims 3 on my family's computer. flash forward to today and i play the sims 4 on my own PC!

as per usual, long time lurker, first time poster. i enjoy the "maxis mix" style and enjoy all aspects of the game, even if i'm bad at some of them (build mode... looking at you).

i'm looking to create mutuals with other simblr pages and others who love/hate the sims as much as i do! i hope this is the start of something beautiful and gives me more encouragement to play.

I've been wanting to play with a teen sim and wanted an internet cafe in Copperdale for them to go to. I couldn't find one on the Gallery that I liked, so I just built one!

Not to be extra but for some reason simstrouble and their cc finds blog won’t show up on my tumblr and I guess the reason must be that they blocked me?? Right?

I can’t see any other reason why since I can access outside of the app?

I’m heartbroken if so, nobody needs a reason to block but I’ve been supporting them for years. They’re literally the only person I patronize on Patreon. 🫠 and I’ve also never interacted with them??

ETA: I have no way to prove this but the only thing I can think of is that I posted some of their interiors, with credit, in a ts4 wcif community. Nothing but complimentary and I mentioned I had combed their cc finds blog and had no success finding the items I was after. That post is now inexplicably gone from the community as well. So the best I can determine is it was “fuck you specifically for asking the community wcifs”. Beyond that I’m bewildered and have removed my financial pledge to their Patreon. 🤷‍♀️

Where do these sim creators find their fucking audacity Simstrouble copyright strikes an image of a room they built in the sims 4 posted in a tumblr community to ask about a specific cc used in the screenshot WITH FULL CREDIT AND LINKED BACK TO THE ORIGINAL

First of all out community is strictly a where can i find community we do not share files we only link to them and the pictures of cc posted are almost always Linked with full credit (in the rare occasion the poster doesn't know where its from 100% another person finds the source in the comments)

This is absolutely bullshit you are full of shit and extremely arrogant because your "original Digital artwork made by me" is an image made in the sims 4 engine which YOU DO NOT OWN, using various Creators Assets which YOU DO NOT OWN and reshade/relight which YOU ALSO DO NOT OWN

all you did was place them IN GAME and then press the screenshot button

just because you fucking edited it in Photoshop or whatever doesn't mean you own it

so typically i try not to get myself involved in drama or call people out, but i am also a mod in this community and honestly when i heard about this i was speechless. the only reason simstrouble even knew about the post was because OP tagged them (therefore giving them proper credit for the post). not only that but they also linked back to the original post.

not only am i shocked and horrified at simstrouble’s audacity to think its okay to copyright strike an image of the sims 4 (which they do not own) and which contains OTHER PEOPLE’s cc (which again they do not own) but im also baffled at the fact tumblr allowed for this claim to go through? the lengths that people will go to to gatekeep things is fucking insane.

as crazy-hazy said, we don’t reupload the files in the community we only link to existing sources, they didn’t own any of the cc nor do they own the sims 4. their claim is ridiculously unfair, and the fucking audacity is insane.

if you follow or support @simstrouble please be aware of the type of person they are. especially as OP was a patron like i think that alone says a lot, they clearly don’t care if people support them because so what it’s just one person right?!?!? please just be aware of the types of people you are supporting before choosing to support them

It's official, I'm finally doing it! ✨ For the longest time, I've wanted to play and document a legacy/save on my Simblr, but I never got the gumption to sit down and actually do it. However... after finding out about @storytellerwhims "Never Get Bored" Legacy Challenge, I knew that I just had to finally pull through. This legacy looks like so much fun, and I'm absolutely pumped to get started! 🥳 (more below the cut)

So, to introduce Anya Buckner, my first generation Sim for the challenge, I took use of @stormistargazer's beautiful template. (Seriously, if you use Canva, go check it out!) I think she's going to turn into a very interesting Sim to say the least... 👀 I won't be super spammy with my posts, and they'll mainly be "batched" with a bunch of updates in progress in each post I make. I do hope you stick around to see how this plays out, I know that I can't wait! <3
