An American Girl Elphaba has been leaked on line!
Yeah we know <3
Damn ag, lesbian rep in the 80s. We love to see it
"Some day I'll wish upon a star / And wake up where the clouds are far behind me / Where troubles melt like lemon drops / Away above the chimney tops / that's where you'll find me"
Moment of appreciation for my bootleg Samantha bear. I have no recollection of ever buying it or receiving it. There is no tag.
He scares me.
I'm afraid to buy an actual Samantha bear. Like this little crooked eyed goblin will curse me or something
Once you see it you can't unsee it.
The orginal American girl books have a year change in the middle with (name)'s Surprise, because the next time we see them it's spring. The American Girl books disregard this and pretend it's the earlier year.
IT AIN'T SPRING OF 1904 SAMANTHA.
It is significantly closer to 1906 than 1904 by the time Changes For Samantha takes place.
This annoys me so badly oh my God.
I wanted to post a few pictures I took in the American Girl Store when I visited last month. No pictures featuring people. This store isn't really "close" to me-it was a bit of a hike--but I feel it was worth the drive for the magical experience. This would have been my favorite place on Earth if AG Stores existed in the '90s. It was kind of my favorite place on Earth even now!
I couldn't actually take a picture directly facing Nanea's display because it was facing a wall. She was the doll I bought that day and it was a bit difficult to squeeze in front of her area to pick out my Nanea. I had a hard time even finding her!
(A few more under the cut--plus a fun throwback)
The Anne-girl 💙🤍💙🤍💙
Now after the mail not coming for an entire week, I own half of the Girls of Many Lands dolls. On the left is Chou Spring Pearl, representing Qing Dynasty China. On the right is Neela Sen, representing India’s fight for independence.
Both dolls are in great shape, though Spring Pearl’s stand is very discolored.
Rejoice, Tumblr! live is gone! No more scantily clad women at the top of my wholesome American Girl dash!
I'm rereading the Wizard of Oz books, and in my dream last night I made a OOAK Dorothy AG doll. She was beautiful and now I am genuinely considering making one. Anyone know good patterns for an AG size Dorothy pinafore?
I said what I said.
Or a Cecile and Marie-Grace situation would have been neat.
Louisa says “So long, farewell” to 2023
May 2024 bring peace, prosperity and happiness to you and your loved ones
I wish everyone who has a Gabriela or a Ivy a very I wish that I were you 😭
Look at them 🥺 they are literally my dreamies, treat them right if you have them 😤
I'm getting best sister brownie points this Christmas, I gave my sister Cecile for her girls of many lands collection. WITH BOX!
But, you know how it is, we took her out of the box anyways. No doll deserves to live in such a confined space!
They stopped making these three years before I was born, so she's a little ancient, but very, very beautiful.
I was a certified Julie hater, but I just got her for Christmas, and uh, I take that back now.
She's so pretty! I can't with her two-toned jeans they're perfect.
Her little bag too! It's just precious!!
I was also gifted Uncle Gard and Aunt Cornelia's wedding cake, and it's beautiful on my Samantha shelf. I love it so much 🩷
Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you and your dolls have a wonderful holiday! 🎄
Does anyone know why one of my copies of The Stolen Sapphire has the portrait photo of Samantha from The Curse of Ravenscourt? I just got the book and the rest is completely normal.
Regular copy of The Stolen Sapphire is on the left. And The Curse of Ravenscourt is of the right.
I actually think it's cool, but have no clue how something like that could happen while printing.
