Serial killer Bernard and Tim is the detective investigating him who actually has cannibalistic tendencies but represses them to try and be a good person.

Bernard gets infatuated with the detective trying to catch him and approaches him as a normal civilian while killing all of his admirers. Tim falls for Bernard the "innocent civilian". Bernard notices this and suddenly feels guilt, something he's never really felt before... Eventually Tim finds out he is the serial killer and is conflicted because he realises he's too in love with Bernard to turn him in.

Bernard tries his best to comfort him: Baby, it's okay! When have the police ever not been corrupt?

Bernard does run into a problem sometime later. He no longer has space to store the bodies he's collected. But Tim has a solution!

Bernard: I've been running out of space in that freezer. I'm not sure what to do about it though..

Tim: You could always eat them.

Bernard: What an odd thing to say.

The solution works for both of them and they live happily ever after :)
