"What’s wrong Rich? Afraid you’re going to lose at wrestling like when we were kids?"
Richie’s mind: *Explosion sounds*
do you ever think about how badly bill denbrough’s parents treated him in the wake of georgie’s death and how that must have only escalated over time because I do, constantly.
the impact of their missing presence on his life, the coldness, the hostile silence, the wordless dismissal of his every effort to make conversation, to connect as a family again, to gain their love and acknowledgment. how ultimately in the end their neglect directly correlates to bill’s suicidal recklessness towards death and danger and his excessive willingness to sacrifice himself to pennywise in order to save the lives of the losers, and I would argue any single other life because through his parent’s abuse bill has internalized the blame of georgie’s death and assumed responsibility for the lives of ALL children.
does it ever haunt you that at 14 in the movie (or 11 in the book) Bill thinks being taken to an eternal hell dimension by an eldritch arachnid horror is “just” and “right?” is what he actually deserves? A belief that persists through his relationship with Audra - (with whom it’s interesting to note he appears to have a type of caregiving/savior role ie: ‘rescuing’ her from her addictions and being her point of stability to the extent that she’s very unwilling to be apart from him, even if bill needs to leave for closure on something very personally important) - all the way into his forties when (in the book) he encounters the manifestation of all that guilt and abuse directly and almost just gives up, almost lets the apparition of georgie kill him before his friends step in and shake him out of it again?
do y’all ever think about this?
this is a messy disjointed case of thinking out loud, but this is the stuff that keeps me up at night and now, with my apologies, you can all stay up and mull it over too.
buying terrible matching shirts for you and the boys - bill spends 20 minutes trying to put richie into a headlock for buying them and bev manhandles ben into the shirt and laughs so hard she almost passes out… (on twitter)
a bonus followup:
they share a single braincell between them (one guess who it belongs to)
a familiar voice...

thinking about how Reddie is doomed in every universe because a universe where Eddie is alive is one where he is trapped by his abusive childhood and familiarity and still thinks he needs medicine to function and that he's fragile, and a universe where Eddie is free and truly knows he's not fragile is one where he fought and is dead bc he had to die fighting to prove it. he had to. aughhhhhh
when I got up and looked at the date this morning I was like ???! its someones birthday I just can’t remember whose???
it’s richie toziers. pisces king.
Can’t look back
No one look at me,,,I'm back in the sewers
whether byler is endgame or not you know the fanfic is going to be fcking phenomenal either way. win win if you ask me
inside out (or, Will Byers writes poetry)
inspired of course by @trashmouthkid
(full disclosure I wrote this before season 5 so.... its clearly not relevant anymore lmao)
reddie dancing inspired by @smeegamae !! based off a scene from dead poets society!!
mike sends a snapchat to the losers captioned "things to be prepared for if you fall in love with a writer" and it's just a video of bill pacing around their living room mumbling to himself and talking with his hands
eddie responds with a video of richie standing in front of him with his hands on his hips, completely rooted to the spot repeating the same joke with slightly different inflections over and over and captions it "can't relate"
reddie
yall know this quote from the scary clown book right
well I wrote a post chapter 2 everyone lives fix it fic kind of exploring it if you want to read it ilysm
Things i love about (book) Stanley Uris
He’s fastidious
“A creature of habit and convention”
“A patient boy”
Thinks that birds talk to each other (they totally do stan)
Thinks about phrases like ‘weirdsville’ and ‘Creep City’ because Richie says them
When the dead boys come for him in the standpipe he defends himself using his bird-book and shouting out the names of birds (it works)
Has an adorably dry sense of humour
Makes the suggestion to clean up the blood from Beverly’s bathroom (and then pays for the rags to get cleaned and jokes that it was a laundry date)
Was offended when he saw the dead boys (which is way worse than being frightened in his eyes)
“could stand to be scared, but he hated being dirty”
Was the most successful young accountant in Atlanta
Played baseball and “had the reflexes of an angel” according to Eddie (and I honestly don’t disbelieve, cause my boy Stan is an angel)
Cant think of anyone else to tell about IT because he only trusts the losers
Poor kid had his face washed with snow until it bled, by henry bowers
Traded funnybooks for firecrackers (him and Richie are meant to be i stg)
He can sing (or sayng according too Richie)
“Kookie kookie lend me your bones”
Sharp minded
When Richie tells him ‘i heard somewhere that you killed Christ’ Stan replies totally deadpan with ‘i think that was my father?’ COMEBACK KING!!
Carries his bird book with him (almost) everywhere
Jokes about breaking Eddie’s other arm
Saves Eddie and Mike in the sewer using his bird book and telling the giant bird he doesn’t believe in it
(He does however believe in phoenix’s)
He is the one who cuts the rest of the losers palms because he knows that it wasn’t really gone
adding on a good quote:
“I’m alright,” Stan said loudly, still crying.
i love my boy!! so much!! !
Stan has a very special place in my heart.
Stan Is my sweet son <3 protect him !
