What is our Master Printer Colleen so excited about? After six weeks, 15 proofs, and lots of ink she finally got a color match-- Now the real fun begins! 

She starts printing the edition for Chadwick Noellert this week!

"Inaugural Dawn" is a piece by artist Nate Powell that we published in 2013 for the Decatur Book Arts Festival. The image is from the comic book March by Congressman John Lewis, co-written by Andrew Aydin. March was recently voted USA Today's number one graphic novel of the year.

Kofke purchased this lettering set as a graduation gift to himself. He uses it to sign all of his work.

We're print signing machines today! Rose M. Barron just signed the B.A.T. of her piece. We are so excited to start her edition-- and somebody has already called dibs! Stay tuned for more information about her work here, and on our website.

Today we had artist Jason Kofke in to sign the B.A.T. for his newest piece. The series of etchings we've been working on with him will be on display in February at Kai Lin Art in Atlanta. Stay tuned for more information about this work here, and on our website!

Yesterday we had artist Nikita Gale in our shop to finalize plans on the edition we are publishing for her. We don't want to give away too much just yet but be on the look out for a variable edition of photogravures at the beginning of next year.

Here's a brief statement from The Atlanta Contemporary Art Centers website about Gale:

Nikita Gale is a conceptual artist and photographer. She holds a BA in Anthropology with a specialization in Archaeological Studies from Yale University, and has exhibited in numerous shows throughout the United States. In 2010, she presented her debut solo show, BOOLESH1T at Atlanta’s Mint Gallery.

Recurring themes throughout Gale’s work are advertising and consumerism, digital technology, and memory. Through the use of text and found and original imagery, she generates tableaux where the symbol and the symbolized exist simultaneously within one space to foster the development of new narratives.

Gale was an Artist-in-Residence at The Center for Photography at Woodstock in 2011 and currently serves on the board of directors for the non-profit Atlanta arts publication, BURNAWAY.org.

Rose M. Barron has been in our studio and working with us on two new etchings AND two new photogravures. The colors are mixed, the paper is in (straight from Haromi in sunny California) and we are working on that first B.A.T.-- wish us luck!

Atlanta artist Noelle Tillman signed an edition with us this week in our shop. Noelle developed this photo polymer plate at Penland School of Crafts and came to us for the printing. Keep an eye out for more information about this print on our website.
