I made a side plot for my fic where Harry goes to court. Now that I need to actually write it I’m lost. I have hated social studies since the first time I stepped into the class. I don’t know much about how the judicial system works in my own country let alone magical Britain. I might have to just make it all up or something🫠

As a biology student and a fanfic reader I happen to think about the logics of mpreg a lot. Especially the sex chromosomes. So I decided to draw a chart about it.

So, a man has the chromosomes XY. So when two men have kid together these are the possible outcomes. I'm pretty sure that YY combination is lethal because the X is very important. So there is a 25% chance of miscarriage. Which is a huge amount.

Also only one in the three surviving ones is a female. That means that the chance for a male child is 50% and for a female 25%. Good luck if you want a girl.

Of course fanfiction doesn't have to follow this logic. But if I ever write a mpreg fanfiction I will definitly follow this. It's just such an interesting thought for me. Also this logic only works when both parents are male. If a woman impregnates a man then there is no such issue.
