final piece for "a sense of place"

in this illustration i wanted to explore the idea of dogs being a guiding force in our lives. guide dogs for example are quite literally a guiding force, and many people's lives would be negatively impacted without them. for others, its having responsibility, a reason to get out of bed and to go outside that keeps them going.

in the bible, guardian angels were sent to protect and aid people on earth in times of need. i think this reflects on how many people view their dogs - they provide comfort and safety when we may need it most.
