san x fem reader | fluff | this is pt.2 | find pt.1 here
the gravel crunches under her heels with each step towards the entrance. her breath hitches, feeling the cold november breeze run through her hair and kiss her neck before making it inside of the building.
her nerves are sky high as she stealthily dodges out of peoples way without even looking at who she is next to. strings of curses run through her mind towards ari for making her come in here alone when god knows what celeb could be here in the same building as regular, old y/n.
she pursed her lips together making it her mission to find her best friend and her boyfriend somewhere at the bar, which is where ari said that they'd be waiting for her last time she checked her messages.
knowing ari, she could already be so intoxicated that she'd have to be escorted out and y/n was really hoping that she didn't have to go through all of this trouble of getting ready just to scurry out of here in less than an hour.
though, if that were the case, she wouldn't be too upset. she did leave the comfort of her little apartment with a pantry full of pickled flavor potato chips that were calling her name right about now.
once the couple is spotted, she makes a beeline to the end of the bar where she watches her best friend snap her fingers at the bartender, her voice echoing through the room causing y/n to chuckle.
"hey, buddy! i've been waiting for-" ari pretends to look at a non existent watch on her wrist, "thirty minuets to get a drink and the bar isn't even full yet."
"i'm making a drink for jennie. you can wait." the bartender points at her sassily.
ari's boyfriend buries his face in his large hand, mortified as snickers from the people around them cause ari to stick up her nose and bounce her heeled boot against the lavish hard wood floor.
"already making enemies i see." y/n says as she leans against the bar, her hair falling in her face as she smiles playfully at ari.
"it was bound to happen at some point." ari shrugs.
"you think Jennie is actually here?" jay, ari's boyfriend questions.
ari rolls her eyes and flicks his chest with her finger, "i just got told off by the bartender and you're worried about jennie?"
"goop." y/n lets out making jay chuckle.
"fine. get us a round and and maybe you'll meet her." she says flatly patting her boyfriends shoulder before taking y/n's hand, "were going to the ladies room."
the two ladies wave at him and make headway towards the bathroom, both of them sighing simultaneously, relief trickling between them when learning that there was no line.
the bathroom is huge, there's even a sitting room with a few couches and love seats skatter around the room perfectly. mirrors all around too which cause ari and y/n to stop dead I their tracks and admire their looks of the night.
"how did jay get three tickets to this?" y/n asks, watching ari head towards one of the stalls as she sits down on one of the love seats.
"his boss is obsessed with him. she gives him whatever he wants." ari says while closing the door. before y/n can even say anything ari tuts at her, "don't say it."
"i wasn't going to!" y/n defends.
"don't make that face either!" ari laughs.
y/n freezes, looking in the mirror, she rolls her eyes immediately dropping the face she was making. "I-"
"sometimes it's fun to let people spoil you. especially your boss... who works for some big ass kpop company."
y/n groans and drops her hands into her lap as she shakes her head, watching ari step out of the stall and start washing her hands. "you sound so hollywood..." y/n drags her voice.
ari gasps, "love that for me, though." she says splashing sink water at y/n causing them both to squeal so loud that y/n is sure the party goers could hear them from outside the bathrooms.
—
an hour rages on with more drinks and finger foods. y/n can tell that her patience is running thin as she watches ari giggle as jay peppers kisses in her hair while whispering into her ear.
she crosses her arms and downs the rest of her white wine. her chest immediately warming at the sensation of alcohol flooding her system causing her to close her eyes for a moment.
"there he is!" jay grumbled out proudly pointing at someone behind y/n.
ari's eyes go wide as she presses her lips together to hold herself back from saying something. before y/n could ask her any questions she felt herself turn her head slightly, revealing him standing there next to her in all his glory.
"where have you been? i was thinking you weren’t going to show." Tommy says to him as they hug, spalling each others back.
"i decided last minuet that I would. It's for a good cause." he shrugs, backing away from jay and leaning closer to ari for a hug.
y/n can't help but let out a nervous and terribly awkward chuckle as she watched him turn towards her. they both go in for a hug but pause at the same time, fidgeting around before ultimately shaking each others hands.
"nice to see you again." they say in unison causing all four of them to chuckle.
"how are you doing?" san asks, his eyes focusing on y/n's making her cheeks flush and her skin suddenly starts to feel like it could melt mountains of snow in one second if she stepped one foot in the arctic.
"f- fine and you?" she stammers.
"good." he says earnestly.
his stare starts to make beads of sweat form at her temple and y/n just cannot bear the way he looks at her. she wants to scoff because she distinctly remembers him giving her his number, and of course she texted him.
she was so nervous it took her a week, but she still texted! and can you guess? yup, that's right. he never texted her back. almost full yer later and nothing. nothing. silence.
fucker.
y/n gave him a tight lipped smile, leaning into ari..linking her arm with hers causing ari to rub her back in acknowledgment.
"let's, let the boys play. we've got some man hunting to get to." ari said, looking directly at san. her voice sharp as knives, ignoring the way jay gawked at her.
—
three more white wines and one last shot of vodka, y/n and ari giggled horrendously as they stole a charcuterie board from one of the vip tables. they clumsily found an open table top outside on the balcony.
"seriously, fuck him for never answering you and having the audacity to come and say hello! like nothing happened." ari slurred sticking a piece of salami into her mouth. "the things I did for him to get you to freaking show up on the blind date..."
y/n shook her head vigorously and spread some fig jam onto her cracker before placing a piece of cheese on top. "and why the hell would he look at me like that? what a freak. i mean, if I was him, i would be embarrassed to even sneak a glance! he's got some nerve even coming to say hello. he should have pretended not to see me..." she rambled, stuffing the cracker into her mouth and covering it as she chewed.
"say it louder for the people in the back, bitch!" ari cheered.
"like seriously! i genuinely hate dating. ari can i just find someone who likes me and actually wants to see me again, why is it so hard? you are so lucky with jay" she mopes, dropping her chin in the palm of her hand as she looks over at the skyline.
"i had a long streak of bad luck before him y/n". ari replies turning her head to where y/n is looking.
"we all go thought it, but it's how we decide to embrace it. don't let the bad moments ruin your chances at finding the right one because he could be anywhere. he could be here for all you know."
ari places her hand on y/n's arm as they both look at one another with small knowing smiles. "i love you." y/n says warmly. "thank you. you're right. you always know what to say."
"damn right." ari winks. "i love you too."
"it's just exhausting sometimes."
"i know."
—
when she winces and looks down at her heels, cursing at herself for picking the ones she hadn't worn out yet she decided that it's time to call it a night.
jay and ari insisted that they wait with her while she waited for her Uber but she immediately declined their offer. "ggo have more drinks and have fun. you don't want to miss dessert when it comes." she smiled.
"i'll save you a piece of cake!" ari agreed. "text me when you get home, please."
"promise!" y/n wave before making her ways towards the stairs that lead down the building and towards the exit.
y/n rolled her eyes as she waited for the coat check to retrieve her purse and her button up, getting the notification that her Uber driver canceled the ride.
"lovely."
she decided that maybe this was a message from the gods's that an uber wasn't the best option.
sure, walking in these heels weren't ideal, but spending an unholy amount on a ride was something that y/n absolutely hated to do. She bought these heels to walk in, not just sit and look pretty in.
as she slid her jacket on and made her way towards the door she paused, throwing her hands up in disbelief watching him stand on the sidewalk in front of her with a cigarette between his lips.
she quickly pushed the doors open and tried to make her way behind him and go on her merry way unnoticed.
but she calculated her steps wrong and -oof- san backed into her making her stumble.
she nearly twisted her ankle as he reached for her forearm, yanking her into his solid chest so she wouldn't fall. with another oof and a loud crack she gasped watching her phone fall out of her hands and smack down onto the pavement.
"shit, i’m so sorry. you good?' san said in concern.
y/n pushed herself from him and bent down to grab her phone before groaning as her forehead hit into his because he too was reaching for her phone.
"jesus!" she groaned. "ow." she chuckled, standing up and rubbing her forehead hearing him laugh softly before covering his mouth with his fist and coughing.
"i'm really sorry." he said again, handing her the phone, holding the side of his head. "and.. ow." he snickered. "you've got a strong forehead."
"thanks?" y/n in a questionable tone, sliding her unharmed phone into her jacket pocket.
"hey, you're leaving?" san asked as she turned to make her way down the street.
y/n stopped and turned around to look at him as he flicked his cigarette onto the pavement. "yeah." she shrugged.
"me too." he said walking towards her. "i'm waiting for my driver. were you gonna walk?"
she dropped her shoulders in defeat knowing that she was waisting precious time standing here talking to him instead of walking home before sundown.
"yeah. but i gotta go and make my train so..." she said hurriedly turing around to walk again before he called out her name in urgency.
y/n's eyes furrowed and she stopped again, annoyance building up as he was now standing right in front of her, too close for her liking. "can i give you a ride? It's getting late and it's getting cold."
"i'm fine."
"you said that earlier." he said cheekily making her frown and roll her eyes, his smirk to faltering.
"listen. I am really sorry I never answered you. i really, really wanted to see you again."
y/n let out a snort catching him off guard as she flipped her hair and pulled out her phone to check the time. "you have a really funny way showing it."
san dug his hands into his pockets, sighing making y/n's eyes widen as he bent down towards her so they were at eye level. she held her breath watching his eyes glance at her lips before looking back into her eyes causing her to blush out of pure instinct.
"i was afraid you weren't going to text me or call. when you finally did i was like, really stoked but i never got to answer because I was preparing for tour and shooting music videos. when i was done i crashed and when I woke up again I was almost late for my call time and it was just a repeating cycle of not being able to get a minuet alone where i wasn't falling asleep." he said, finishing with a deep breath, letting his shoulders sink like he was letting a huge load fall off. "then I felt like an asshole for never getting back to you and I was just... scared to text you back. and now, here we are."
"oh." was all that se could say. She was shocked and the way her was looking at her made chest tighten so much that she felt dizzy, so she closed her eyes and nodded slowly. "okay." she said more to herself than to him.
"okay?"
"okay." she shrugged. "so, did you want to go get that ice cream?" she smiled bashfully.
he almost didn't hear her but that smile made his second guessing mind stop from asking her to repeat herself as he quickly nodded. "i'm warning you now, it takes a lot for me to get brain freeze." he said going her a lopsided smirk causing her eyes to light up.
"me too. that just means the compilation is gonna be good." she winked.
san laughed causing/n to smile up at him through her lashes as he looked towards the road where his driver had finally been able to find a spot and stop. "shall we?"
"please. these heels are killing me."

The rain had been steady all afternoon, draping the streets in a silver curtain.
By the time you push open the heavy glass door of the bookstore, droplets cling to your sleeves and hair, dampening your mood as much as your clothes.
The little brass bell above the door chimes a gentle note, announcing your arrival.
Warmth envelops you instantly, along with the faint perfume of old paper and fresh coffee drifting from the café tucked in the back. You exhale slowly, shaking off the last chill of the outside world, and let your eyes adjust to the dim glow of overhead lamps.
This bookstore has always felt like a refuge.
Its aisles stretch long and narrow, shelves packed to the brim with stories—some new and glossy, some softened by countless hands. You come here when you need quiet, when you want to let the world blur into ink and pages.
Today is one of those days.
You wander in without much aim, your fingers trailing absentmindedly over spines, reading titles you’ve never heard of.
It’s only when you round a corner too quickly that you almost collide with him.
Your breath catches as you jerk to a stop.
The boy in front of you does the same, stepping back just in time, the surprise mirrored in his eyes.
“Ah—sorry,” he says quickly. His voice is soft but clear, gentle enough that it makes the apology feel genuine.
You look up at him fully.
He’s taller than you, though not imposing. His frame is slim, mild in build—neither broad nor heavy, but graceful in a quiet way, as though his body moves with thoughtfulness rather than force.
There’s something delicate about him, yet not fragile; he feels approachable, like someone you could lean into without fear of breaking.
His features are striking in their gentleness.
Dark hair falls neatly, framing a face with soft edges, lips curved in a hesitant half-smile. His eyes—deep and earnest—meet yours with a kind of openness that’s rare in a stranger.
“It’s okay,” you murmur, stepping aside to let him pass.
But he lingers a moment, his head tilted as though to make sure you’re really fine. “Are you… looking for something specific?”
The question startles you—not just because it’s unexpected, but because it’s so direct without being intrusive.
You shake your head. “No, just wandering.”
He nods, a smile flickering across his face like he understands. “Me too.”
For a heartbeat, silence hangs between you.
Then he dips his head politely and steps past, disappearing down the aisle.
You release a breath you hadn’t realized you were holding.
Something about him clings to the edges of your mind—the softness of his voice, the careful way he looked at you.
You brush it off and continue browsing, but the moment lingers like the faint aftertaste of tea.
───────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆
────────
It happens ten minutes later.
You’re crouched in front of the lower shelves, tilting your head to read spines, when something shifts in the pile of books in your arms. You glance down to see an unfamiliar cover perched neatly on top.
Your brows knit. You didn’t pick that one.
A quiet chuckle makes you turn.
He’s there again—the same boy, standing a few feet away with a book in hand, his lips tugged into a sheepish grin.
“Sorry,” he says, though he doesn’t look very sorry at all. “I thought you might like that one.”
You blink at him, holding up the book. “Do you… usually put random books in a strangers’ arms?”
He laughs softly, his shoulders rising in a small shrug. “Not usually.” His voice is warm, teasing but cautious, as if he doesn’t want to overstep. “But you looked like you were deciding too hard. I figured I’d help.”
You narrow your eyes, though you can’t quite hide the amusement tugging at your lips. “Help?”
He tilts his head, bunny-like, his smile brightening just a little. “Yeah. You don’t have to take it, of course. I can put it back.”
For a moment, you study him—the mild slope of his shoulders, the way he hovers with his hand half-raised, ready to relieve you of the book if you refuse.
He looks… earnest.
Playful, yes, but not pushy.
You sigh, shaking your head. “It’s fine. I’ll give it a chance.”
The effect is immediate. His smile softens, eyes curving into crescents, and he nods like you’ve just agreed to something important. “Good.”
And then—he stays.
Not hovering directly beside you, but meandering through the same aisles, his presence steady and unhurried. Sometimes you catch him glancing at the books in your hands; sometimes another unfamiliar cover appears on your pile, slipped in with a grin or with no explanation at all.
By the time you reach the register, your stack is nearly double what you remember picking up.
You turn to him with an incredulous look. “How many of these are yours?”
He laughs, the sound soft and melodic. “Maybe… half?”
“Half?” you echo, raising a brow.
“Okay, maybe less,” he concedes quickly, lifting his hands in mock surrender.
Then his grin returns, gentle and unassuming. “But I think they suit you.”
You can’t help it—you laugh, shaking your head. And his smile widens like your laughter is the very thing he wanted all along.
───────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆
────────
The bookstore’s café is tucked in the far corner, a little haven of warm light and quiet chatter.
Without really discussing it, the two of you end up there, your heavy bags of books set down by the table.
Rain patters steadily against the wide windows, blurring the city beyond.
The air smells of espresso and cinnamon, a comforting counterpoint to the gray world outside.
You sit across from him at a small round table, cradling a steaming mug in your hands.
For the first time, you’re aware of how strange this should be—sitting with a stranger, sipping coffee like you’ve known each other longer than an hour.
But with him, it feels… natural.
He leans back slightly, wrapping his own hands around his cup.
“I’m Seonghwa, by the way,” he says after a pause, his tone light but sincere.
You give your name in return.
His lips curve into a soft smile. “Nice to meet you.”
And somehow, you believe he truly means it.
The conversation drifts easily from there.
You talk about genres you love, the books that shaped you, the ones that stayed. He listens intently, his eyes never wandering, nodding at the right moments, asking thoughtful questions that make you reflect.
When he shares his own favorites, his expression lights up, almost boyish in its brightness. His hands move as he speaks, slim fingers sketching invisible shapes in the air.
He leans forward sometimes, then leans back with a soft laugh when he realizes how animated he’s become.
You find yourself laughing more than you expected, too.
He teases you lightly about your towering pile of books, exaggerating how you nearly toppled under the weight of them. But then, almost under his breath, he adds, “I just wanted to see you smile.”
The words hang between you, tender and disarming. His cheeks tint faintly pink, as though he’s aware of how much he’s revealed.
Yet he doesn’t retract them.
And you don’t want him to.
───────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆
────────
At some point, you excuse yourself to wander again, leaving him at the table with your stack of books.
When you return, you stop in your tracks.
Seonghwa is leaning over one of them—not just any, but the one you’d mentioned in passing, almost shyly.
Your favorite. The book that’s been with you through seasons of your life, the one you carry like a secret.
He’s reading it carefully, lips moving faintly as he traces each line. His expression is focused, but there’s a softness to it, too, something reverent. He cradles the book like it matters.
You watch for a moment before speaking.
“Seonghwa?”
He startles slightly, looking up with wide eyes.
Then he closes the book gently, fingers brushing the cover. “I’m sorry. I couldn’t help it.”
“You’re reading that one?” you ask, surprised.
He nods, his smile sheepish but warm. “You said it was your favorite.”
“So?”
“So,” he says softly, meeting your gaze with quiet earnestness, “I want to understand you better.”
The words settle in you like warmth seeping into cold hands. They’re simple, almost plain—but the sincerity behind them feels like a thread pulled tight around your chest.
You don’t know how to respond, so you smile. Small at first, then fuller as his own smile grows.
And for a long moment, that’s enough.
───────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆
────────
By the time you leave, the rain has eased into a drizzle.
The streets shine with reflections, lamplight shimmering in puddles, the air crisp and clean.
You walk side by side, bags heavy with books, silence easy between you. Every so often, your shoulders brush, and he glances at you with that soft, bunny-like smile that makes your chest ache in ways you can’t quite name.
At the corner, where your paths split, he hesitates.
He shifts the strap of his bag, then looks at you with quiet determination.
“Today was… really nice,” he says. His voice is soft, but it carries.
You nod, your heart tugging. “Yeah. It was.”
He bites his lip, as though weighing something.
Then, almost shyly: “Maybe… we could do it again sometime?”
You let the word roll on your tongue before releasing it. “Maybe.”
His smile brightens, hopeful and gentle all at once.
He waves, his figure blurring slightly in the drizzle as he walks away.
And you stand there, watching, the weight of your books warm against your side.
Because somewhere between the shelves and the café, between the playful additions to your pile and the quiet confession over your favorite story, Seonghwa has already written himself into the margins of your life.
And maybe—just maybe—this is only the first chapter.

hi guys
Haymitch's resentment towards Katniss for having all the things he couldn't; for being luckier. In time to save her love from the poison, outsmarting the games, having someone to come home to. And after all of that, she managed to remind Haymitch of all the people he's loved, and lost, before. He envies her, it's human, and he can't hate her for it. After all, the only reason she had more luck was because she had him.

“Regulus! Can you take even longer with packing the attic?”
“Calm down Andy, I just started” Regulus shouted back. Cleaning the attic was hell, especially for someone who sneezes at the slight hint of dust 一 which describes Regulus Black 100%. The two were moving back to Bristol after spending time in London for a while. It wasn’t like he’s been here long either way, only moving in with Andromeda a few years back.

Prologue.
“Be in a band with your friends!” they said, “it’ll be fun!!” they said, well touring Europe with your ex might not be the most fun thing to end your year with. Well, can she even be called an ex? The last time he dumped her they ended up on top of each other, wasted. It was probably their 10th ‘breakup’ in the course of the past 2 years. They weren’t good for each other, hell anyone who’ve seen them together would know that, but how she got him hooked, had him focusing all his addictions on her.
He never knew how someone could get so addicted to something, something that destroyed them the longer they’re with it. Why on earth would anyone stay with something that hurt them when it was so easy for them to leave it. To stop drinking, to stop smoking, all they need to do is not pick up the next time. But one again he laid, head empty, staring at the spinning ceiling as he took another whiff from the lit cigarette. One more time, he told himself every time would be the last. That, after this, he would part ways with all his scandals, repented for all the sins he committed.
But oh how weak he’d get everytime Y/N touched him, it was as if all his concerns dissipated just like that.
“We should stop” Y/N sighed into his chest, their bare bodies laid atop of one another.
“What?” Satoru replied, bringing his attention back to her.
“I’m not.. good for you ‘toru, you know this..” she murmured to him, her eyes slowly meeting him. He stared back, his strikingly blue eyes looking at her as if she would disappear the moment he blinked.
“Who cares? I love you, that's all that matters right?” he chuckled, planting rapid kisses on the top of her head, causing her to push him further to avoid the ongoing ‘attack’. “You do know that right? Anyone can love you, but they will never love you the way I do”
He was right.
He loved her like she was the only air pocket left in the room. Like he was simply a piece of charcoal, barely lit up, and she was the breath of oxygen keeping him slightly alive. He felt free with her. Free to do what he wants, to be what he wants. With her, he felt hooked on life. She showed him what it meant to live without a routine for once, away from his family's rules for ‘success’. Without her, he would simply just be another shell to be used as publicity for his family.
But to her, he was like an anchor, keeping her grounded when she needed it most. A comfortable place for her to find the love she needs but didn't get, from anyone. She felt safe with him, so safe that eventually she saw him as a net that could catch her when she eventually fell back into the dark pits of her mind. He was her shoulder to lean on any time she needed. But even then, for her ship to sail forward, the anchor needs to be raised or cut off.

Mornings - K.N
Two thuds echoed in the hallway, leading from the bedroom onto the living room. A kid, no older than 5, can be seen running away from someone, giggles coming out of his mouth as his small figure dashed through the furniture.
“I'll catch you Mio!” You chuckled out, chasing your 4 year old around the house. It was days like these that you loved most, late mornings spent messing around with a mini version of your husband. Of course, it would be way better if he was here, but since he isn't, his carbon copy was enough for you.
Still circling the living room, the smell of pancake batter filled the air. Mio, being the kid he is, of course ran to the kitchen to ‘investigate’ caused the smell as you followed closely behind.
Reaching the kitchen doorway, you see the blonde man you married, with his mini-me trying to climb his leg.
“I didn't know you were home, Ken” You said, leaning onto the doorway.
“I was going to surprise you with breakfast in bed, love, but I guess this little rascal woke you up” He replied, putting down his spatula and picking Mio up to his shoulders. He was wearing none other than a pair sweat pants and an apron that barely covered his back.
Walking closer to him, you hugged him from behind putting your head in the crook of his neck.
“I missed you, Ken” you mumbled into his neck.
“I do too love, work's been hectic as hell, especially with the new kid,” He leaned his head to the side, right on top yours. You both stood there enjoying each other's company as Mio kept asking when breakfast was going to be done.
“I'm taking a break” Kento broke the silence.
“Really? How long?” You amused.
“As long as my world needs me too” He mumbled back. You giggled in response.
“How about a trip somewhere? New environments and stuff” you chimed in as he flipped the second pancake.
“Why not, where do you want to go?” He asked.
“Anywhere, Ken, as long as it's with my loves”
“Hmm.. To Kuantan? It looks like a nice place” He mumbled
“Why not, let's do i-”
“WE'RE GOING TO A BEACH?” Mio suddenly screamed out.
Ghosts
Some time after Suguru's death, Satoru finds himself thinking he'll come back─ he can't die just like that, could he? Everywhere he went, he'll see bits and pieces that reminded him of his once best-friend. The purple wisterias that were never as vibrant as his eyes, the unreasonable amount of sweets they used to share─ the ones Satoru shares with his students now (even if they don't like it). Hell, he missed him.
It took him a while to get used to it. To get used never sharing his food with him. To get used to walking alone in the rain, and never having him share an umbrella. To get used to the fact that he would have to be the strongest, alone.
Sometimes he sees them in his students, the teens the two of them never got the chance to be. He watched them train and joke, exactly how they did before. He wanted to keep them like that, always innocent and never tainted by the flaws of the higher-ups. He'd swore that, even if the world were against them, he'd always side with them. He'd swore himself to protect them─ like he wanted to be─ because if not their teacher, then who else would? Even after all their faults, they were just kids that needed the guide.
He's swore that, with all the cursed energy in his body, he would support them till death─ no beyond death.
