AAAAAAHHHHHHH
AAAAAAAAHHHHHH
Conflicting feelings ran through the fox's head as he scanned the screen, the hundreds of unzipped files flashing past as computers scanned for bugs and the like. While Miles became hopeful, he also realized that this would be a lot of work. One thing was for sure; this would be a looooong weekend.
Like a fiddle
Secrets that the doctor had kept hidden from him for the longest while, only to be released all at once in a fit of rage? That was almost too fun. After having checked that all this information was correct and not just a red herring, the fox sat back in his chair and let a creepy smirk climb to his maw.
Cue this sassy... Lost child. "So, who's this other Miles that has appeared on our radar?" ~ Strength-Smarts-Prower

“He is a Miles attempting to pull off a reform by creating Magi-Tek of his own, basing it off mine to a small degree. His is more based on creating what he calls ‘Materia’… Which allows others to use magic even if they have no magic in them…”
“I am assisting him in this endeavor. Is that a problem?”
“That sounds wonderful.” Julian smiled. “I haven’t really had the time to work on purifying my Mana inflows… Just creating accumulators to convert mana in the air into liquid mana.”
“And with my current dilemma, I’m going to need as much help as possible. I shall give you complete access to my mana reserves… as long as they don’t drop below 50% of their current status.”
“It sounds like we have a rather good deal.”
“While the quantity of Mana you are describing may be helpful to me eventually, a few millilitres is far more than I need. What I need YOU to do is find methods of making that small quantity extremely pure. Even if it means distilling a sample thousands of times.” The fox noted, wanting to clarify this for the doctor to avoid future mishaps.
“This research is certainly an endeavour I look forward to. I shall keep you up to date with my findings. In return, I wish to be able to fuel some of my machines on your Mana, however that would likely be in the not-so-near future.”
Julian nodded. “Right.” Pure mana…. even Julian found that a little difficult. His own blood was somewhere around 90% pure, and he wasn’t even a natural Esper.
A natural Esper had somewhere around 95% pure mana… but the purest….
Julian smirked. “I think I can create a refining machine to create… perhaps 98% pure. I cannot promise anything greater than that.”
The fox developed a scowl, and damn near fury.
“98%? 98% purity? I wouldn’t wipe my ass with toilet paper that wasn’t at least 99.5% cellulose. You must find a way to purify it even more. 98% purity is a joke. Even if you need to enlist my help, 98% purity is absolutely nothing and you know that.”
“Miles. Understand this. Liquid Mana, that runs through my veins is only 90% pure. Espers have around 95% pure in theirs because… well, because.”
“Getting it more pure than that is something I haven’t bothered with yet. I’ll do my best, but I cannot make any promises, especially with the investigation I’m running right now as to who tried to assassinate me.”
“Haven’t bothered with yet? What the hell kind of scientist are you? Unless you feel like releasing all data you have on Mana to me, you need to get on that.” Now the fox was right upset.
“What’s the other ten percent contamination? Distilled water? Mud? Are you telling me that you don’t know ten percent of what’s running though your very veins?”
Now Miles had gone just a little bit too far. “EXCUSE ME for dedicating my time to something a little bit more important. The continued survival of my Zone, combined with the multitudes of projects I tend to have going on at the same time…”
“OH and the fact that I’m the first alternate THAT I KNOW OF to even bother with magic to begin with! You want the data? Fine! Take it!” Julian conjured up a data pad with all the information Julian had on Mana in his Zone, as well as a blue Warp Ring. “This Warp Ring goes directly to my Mana storage. Feel free to abuse it.”
“Now if you’ll excuse me, I have an investigation to conduct. If I don’t find out what the hell is going on in my own Zone, I risk losing EVERYTHING.”
Cold gaze was met with cold gaze as the fox slowly closed the distance between the two, gingerly plucking the warp ring out of the doctor's hand.
Once the warp ring was in his possession, the fox teleported without a word, leaving the doctor within the confides of his own rage and emptiness.

I refuse to believe that you couldn't come up with a way to run the armors off an Anarchy Beryl. Or Chaos Emerald, one of the two. That's the main fault I'm seein' here...
“… Yeah, that’s definitely a wonder. Awful shame that is. Such a mystery.”
Stares into the camera like he’s on The Office.
“If this is an effort to get me to explain my technologies, you can count yourself misfortunate.”

“Not in the slightest; ‘twas simply an inquiry. Mayhap’s when my experiments on the physical level are complete, I can begin experimenting more with magic. Not since after the… Last incident.” Upon finishing the last sentence, the fox pointed to his one violet eye.
Julian nodded. “Of course. I would never suggest someone do something they are uncomfortable with.”
“Still, your experiments are going quite well. You should be proud.” He chuckled.
Miles gazed forth, turning his gaze away from the doctor.
"Speaking of experiments, I have invented a sort of quantum spectrometer. It works similar to a mass spectrometer, but on the quantum scale. I had originally designed it to study dark matter, dark energy, and similar species, but after having nearly created a black hole and destroying the machine, I put those experiments on a queue for the foreseeable future. Since the only 'safe' foreign matter I have any access to is your Mana, I was wondering if I could use some of that.
You see, based on what you have told me about Mana, you have experimented with it on a qualitative level. I wish to further delve into that to a quantitative level. My machine requires exponentially pure samples in such minute quantities that I was required to build a device that essentially acted like a pipette for extremely small quantities."
The fox turned back to the doctor with a collected yet expectant expression. "What do you say? Billions of dollars in research and development for your Mana purifying methods, in exchange for my trillions for qualitative statistics on this mysterious substance?"
Your armor work is quite impressive, however there is one thing i will fault it for...
"That being?"Now you've got his knickers in a twist.

“I did not disturb it, I would never break my promises to my closest ally.” Julian smirked. “I checked it out now and then, but I did not disturb it.” He motioned for Miles to do as he wished.
Miles resisted the urge to roll his eyes at the ‘closest ally’ comment and instead elected to pull an imaginary loose thread from his clothing (which is armour, of course).
“Shall we warp there? I feel that as the host you should be providing me with transport.”
Julian sighed and approached Miles, placing a hand on his shoulder and teleporting them both to the chamber in which they kept their little experiment in. “Here we are.”
Ahh, here they were. The warehouse-sized room was dimly-lit, illuminated by nothing but green indicator lights on computer boards. The air was stagnant and stale, having been nearly unmoved by anything except the rock-solid half dozen super-soldiers he deployed to stand guard inside. Part of their biological programming was to go into a semi-conscious state to conserve oxygen and energy until there is a disturbance. In the nine months this experiment had been running, the guards had only been switched thrice.
The main focus of the room was a gigantic cylinder, spanning from floor to ceiling. It was darkened on the inside, and as the fox approached, he gently caressed the controls, a sudden grip of anticipation clutching at his heart. This was just the V-SRF-12 all over again.
With Julian looking over Miles' shoulder, the fox punched in some code and activated a light from the bottom of the chamber... And shone up onto a foetal beast the size of a building. Standing up, it would easily be several stories tall.
"Yyyyyyyyyyyyyyes!!!" The fox cried out, the excitement of seeing the experiment work overwhelming his desire to be a cold and collected mad scientist.
