2025: My Year in Writing
2025 Summary
Words written: 163,863. 100k less than last year, which is a shame, but it's been a long 12 months 😂
Fics published: A modest six this year, but two of them are multi-chaptered beasts so I'll go easy on myself! Good Deeds - I forgot that I finished my sad doomed Centon fic this year! I'm very proud of it, though I do feel like I owe Centon a slightly happier fic in the future 😂 Just Like Him - The start of my unexpected enjoyment of CodyPunk. Was meant to be a oneshot, then I wrote a sequel. Lonely At The Top - Cody/Gunther in Cody's winner's room. I hope Gunther beats Cody at a PLE next year so I can write his revenge 😌 Forget It - Another feverish installment in Hurt & Heal I barely remember writing 😂 Screwed - It was meant to be a Punkena oneshot. Turned into a whole fic with a love triangle and everything. I can't believe it's almost done! Good Things - The final part of the GoodVerse Codena journey. I've got about 4 chapters left 😭
My favourite fic: I'm not sure actually. I was pleasantly surprised by the reaction to Just Like Him and then Screwed afterwards, but the GoodVerse has me in an emotional vice so it's probably that. I've made some miracles out of John's stupid heel turn 😂
My most written pairing: Once again it's Cody/Randy! Despite only having one dedicated fic to them this year, they're always my default wrestling ship.
My most used tags: Angst, shocker. Anal Sex, double shocker. Somewhat Kayfabe Compliant, yeah sounds about right 😂
What I learned: Man when the source material sucks it can be really hard to keep the motivation up to write... That's annoying. I need to get better at keeping myself motivated by the story itself, not by what's on TV weekly (because oof. it's bad.)
What I want to write next year: I have Good Things and Screwed to finish. Then I have a few plans, but I want to keep things shorter for sure. Preferably no multi-chaptered monsters for a while. And I need a break to play Red Dead Redemption finally 😂
