also! ren didn't ask 'can i have dinner?' or 'what's for dinner?' or 'are we going to have dinner?' because growing up he found he was able to eat dinner more often if he was the one offering to make it. (adults like when you can take care of yourself and you're useful to them.)

them asking this is. not just him asking for a need to be met in the only way he knows how. (the only way he believes it will be met) its him. genuinely wanting to prove himself trustworthy and maybe even endear himself to this complete stranger who acts like he doesnt care about them

A semi-complete list of my "open parentheses" as a writer, projects that I intend finish, rather than leave unfinished.

Finish book 5 (final book) of Thresholder (2-3 chapters)

Finish Kensuke Fucks the World (4 chapters)

Get AGARES to at least book 1 complete (1 chapter)

Get Wisteria to at least book 1 complete (blugh)

Get Glimwarden to at least book 1 complete (many chapters)

Full edit of Dark Wizard of Donkerk (try hiring someone again?)

Edit of Timewise Tales to get it to be a less embarrassing piece of writing that at least has something of worth to it and then do something with it (2 chapters, then hire someone?)

It's a shocking amount of work! And this is somehow not a list of projects that have a lot of work put into them! I used to do a thing where I would catalog all the fiction that I've written more than 10K or 20K words in, an amount that, at an idealized 1K/hr I would consider "a fair bit of effort". And many of these I'm not even pretending that I'll return to one day anymore.

Halfway Point!

We have reached the halfway point of the allotted two month writing period for the Fanfic Bingo!

Well done to everyone who has plotted theirs out, and a good round of snaps to everyone who has started writing, even if it's only a few sentences.

I believe in you! You can make something fun.

I've already begun the designs for some of the badges. If you are going for any specific acheivments, let me know, and I'll prioritize getting those done first!

And, as per the last updates, if anyone has progress on their fic for the event that they are going to be sharing on Tumblr, feel free to also share it with the blog or @ the blog and it will be reblogged with encouragement!

Okay definitely not going to finish the spooky story in time for October 31st so Ominous October is a bust for me with how busy work has been, unless I can kick it into high gear tomorrow lol.

On the plus side I did manage to write 1.2k words today (thanks to 4thewords for pretty much forcing me to focus on beating monsters) in an hour or so for some preludes/pre-novella scenes for my Novella November project to get a feel for the characters and establish the setting a bit more and the events in the backstory are their own horror story, just not one that will work for Halloween lol.

Well it’s been a week of daily updates on here. Most have been pre, during, or post workout pics. Sometimes it’s not much to report but really the point is to show I’m staying active, be accountable and hopefully inspire and motivate anyone else who may be checking in. It feels like a refreshing change and it’s helping me how about anyone else?

Progress Report

It's been awhile since I've done one of these publicly but I figure why not. I won't lie when it comes to overall completion I am shit at figuring out if I'm close or not. It doesn't help that this update I've been seeing how jumping around affects my writing motivation.

However, I can say with certainty that two of four of a location choice have been completed. The entirety of the first big portion of the story is complete, and the last portion is about 3/4's complete.

What's left are big scenes either with lots of dialogue or with outcomes that will last through the story. I won't be giving a date or estimation for completion. But here it is what I have finished.

Progress Updates #1

hello! progress these past few weeks have been relatively slow. i’ve already written the prologue, and realized that i had to scrap it halfway through because it’s not heading into the direction i want - so i’m back to square one.

i’ve also not been able to get enough time to write, since i’ve been especially busy working and running my shop. the demo will likely be delayed a bit further, but i’m hoping to get everything lengthy enough before making it public. regardless, thanks for your interest!

WIP Pile of Shame Progress Report

So sickness and an impending visit to a dinosaur zoo that I must absolutely be fit as a fiddle for are working against the usual progress. In fact you may notice a slow down as I don't resume some semblance of work from now until July 5th and when I am mama full time all day I sometimes just can't schedule in an hour or two to write and my phone screen is cracked with an entire side of dead pixels so I can't even read well on it, let alone write well (makes for fun writing though as I cannot remotely see like a good half inch on the righthand side so if that's where a word lands WHO KNOWS if it's spelled right or not!)

But.... let me shame myself. When I do I work:

The Strongest Member of the Team: 2300 words and clear direction, a victim of time right now.

The Cross: 1800 and could go wild I have no clue if this will be 3k or 13k

Double Jeopardy (a Frankie Morales request from the last Ice Age): 2000 and near done

Nursemaid: 1900

Season 4 New Laredo: 5600 words on the doc, mostly in the first two episodes. some progress, mild though.

Deadfall: 1900 on the next chapter and honestly don't expect it'll more than double that length.

Oberyn Fucking Martell: 10k. <- Blame him for everyone else's slow pace he has been a menace. A MENACE.

Started: a new Max Phillips, dabbled with the Nyad x Max Phillips one (there's a slapping joke about a centaur in there), played a little with Ezra and the Pool Day Frankie as well as dabbled with some Paperwork Era Javier but progress is so slight as to have little to report.

I could use some requests or keywords or something for Doctor's Wife, keeping in mind that we just wrapped Mando Meeting Bo Katan and have Ahsoka coming up.
