Reminder to make dua for the imprisoned and oppressed and make dua against the oppressors and their allies.

وَاللَّهُ فِي عَوْنِ الْعَبْدِ مَا كَانَ الْعَبْدُ فِي عَوْنِ أَخِيهِ.
"And Allāh is engaged in helping the worshipper as long as the worshipper is engaged in helping his brother." 1
The beginning of the Hadith is,
"Whoever relieves a Muslim of a burden from the burdens of the world, Allāh will relieve him of a burden from the burdens of the Hereafter. And whoever covers (the faults of) a Muslim, Allāh will cover (his faults) for him in the world and the Hereafter." 2
If you remove a worldly grief from a believer, Allāh subhanahu wa ta'ala will remove one of your griefs in the Akhirah. Promises from Allāh subhanahu wa ta'ala!
1 & 2 Jami' at-Tirmidhi, 1425 The secret to happiness in helping others for the sake of Allāh by Shaykh Ahmad Musa Jibril حفظه الله
During these heat waves, don't forget to keep your sisters in your duas. May Allāh make it easy for our sisters all over the world and grant them relief.
For the sisters who are struggling in this heat, remember that Jahannam is far hotter, and it is never worth compromising your modesty for temporary comfort. Be patient and seek your reward with Allāh. He sees your struggle, knows your hardship, and never allows the reward of those who do good go to waste.
Ibn Abbas reported:
I did not see the Prophet ﷺ as eager to fast a day and preferring it over others except for this day of 'Ashūrā and this month of Ramadan. Sahih al-Bukhari 2006
Narrated Ibn 'Abbas:
The Prophet ﷺ came to Medina and saw the Jews fasting on the day of 'Ashūrā. He asked them about that. They replied, "This is a good day, the day on which Allāh rescued Bani Israel from their enemy. So, Moses fasted this day." The Prophet ﷺ said, "We have more claim over Moses than you." So, the Prophet fasted on that day and ordered (the Muslims) to fast (on that day). Sahih al-Bukhari 2004
Abu Qatadah reported:
The Prophet ﷺ was asked about fasting the day of 'Arafat, and he said, "It will expiate the sins of the previous and upcoming years." Then, the Prophet was asked about fasting the day of 'Ashūrā, and he said, "It will expiate the sins of the past year." Sahih Muslim 1162
When I saw the Prophet ﷺ with a cheerful face, I said, "O Messenger of Allāh, supplicate to Allāh for me."
The Prophet said, "O Allāh, forgive Aisha for her past and future sins, in secret and in public."
Aisha laughed so much that her head fell from his lap. The Prophet said to her, "Does my supplication make you happy?"
Aisha said, "Why would your supplication not make me happy?"
The Prophet said, "By Allāh, it is my supplication for my nation in every prayer."
Reported by Aisha رضي الله عنها Sahih Ibn Hibban 3446
The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ used to say while prostrating himself: O Lord, forgive me all my sins, small and great, first and last, open and secret.
Reported by Abu Huraira رضي الله عنه Sahih Muslim 483
There was a conversation between a Qur’an teacher and a student. The teacher shared that during hifdh, there was often a greater focus on completing the Qur’an rather than truly reflecting on what was being memorised and revised. The goal became finishing hifdh, more than understanding and reflecting during it.
And the teacher reminded the student of and motivated them with this: the goal isn’t to finish the Qur’an quickly, but to build a relationship with it through reflection and understanding.
There is a saying from Imam Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله: “When a person recites the Qur’an with reflection and comes across a verse their heart needs for healing, they should repeat it, even a hundred times, even throughout the whole night. Reciting a single verse with contemplation is better than completing the entire Qur’an without reflection.”
How many of us are focused on finishing the Qur’an, without truly pausing to reflect on what we are reciting?

O Allāh, You are my Lord. There is no God worthy of worship except You. You have created me, and I am Your slave, and I am under Your covenant and pledge (to fulfil it) to the best of my ability. I seek Your protection from the evil that I have done. I acknowledge the favours that You have bestowed upon me, and I admit my sins. Forgive me, for none forgives sins but You.

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
In Shaa Allah everyone is in the best state of health, happiness and imaan, I write this message sincerely from my heart
For those of you who are unaware, I have a chronically ill mother, who has suffered many health issues throughout her life and lives with unbearable pain every day of her life, may Allah سبحانه وتعالى ease her pains and grant her firdous Al A’la, Allahuma ameen
I usually do not like to relay any information about myself especially my personal life or identity, but my mother is known as @beloved_aiysha on socials, and I know many sisters who have a deep respect for her, hence why I am calling out, because during these blessed days i ask that you all remember her in your Ad’iyat, and make as much dua as you can for her that Allah سبحانه وتعالى grants her shifaa, and eases her pains and grants her Jannat Al Firdous without hisab
My mum has lived with chronic issues with her feet leading to 2 amputations ❤️🩹 and each day she finds the pain in her feet harder and harder to bare, Alhamdulilah there are days where the pain eases, and days when she needs to be rushed to hospital, we live in bilad Al Kufr and due to Islamophobia, and the despicable acts of the mushrikeen, they had the opportunity of giving my mum the medical care she needs, but withheld it from her all because she wears Niqab, leading to further deterioration to her feet, Alhamdulilah, those upon correct Tawheed are those who will taste the sweetness of the akhira, no matter how miserable the mushrikeen try to make the lives of the muslimeen, in the end Allah will send down upon them what they deserve, Subhan Allah because of my mums feet condition she is unable to go aboard planes or else it gets worse so getting treatment in another country is not even an option, Alhamdulilah
My mamas shifa lays in the hands of Allah سبحانه وتعالى, Ash-Shafi, so I sincerely ask all my brothers and sisters to please remember her in your duas, especially on the day of ‘Arafah, and to share this around may Allah سبحانه وتعالى bless you all immensely
May Allah سبحانه وتعالى accept this as an expiation and elevation, and allow it to weigh heavy on her scales ❤️🩹 my mother is an honourable women who no matter what happened to her, she always had high imaan and made sure to strengthen those suffering around her in reliance in Allah, she never allowed the sicknesses and hardships she went through to make her turn away from Allah, and instead used them as reasons to be closer to him سبحانه وتعالى , and although she deals with so much on a daily basis she has always been the backbone of my family, may Allah سبحانه وتعالى honour her and place a crown upon her head yawm Al qiyama, Allahuma ameen

Recite the Qur’an as if you are hearing it from Allāh ﷻ
Some of the righteous Salaf said:
I used to recite Qur’an and did not find any sweetness in it. So I said to myself: Recite it as if you are hearing it from Prophet ﷺ then I began to feel a little sweetness.
Then I said to myself: Recite it as if you are hearing it from angel Jibreel (عليه السلام) as he conveys it to the Prophet ﷺ so the sweetness increased.
Then I said to myself: Recite it as if you are hearing it from the One who spoke it. He said: Then all the sweetness increased completely.
حلية الأولياء: (٨/ ٢٧٩)
How beautiful it is to bring this experience into your life, because then you will truly find the sweetness of Qur’an.
Standing, sitting or laying down don’t be silent.
Why not fill these passing moments with dhikr or short du’as? Wether it’s laying down, standing, doing work, keep your tongue busy. Try to be fully present while doing so, and avoid saying the words without understanding or reflecting on what you are saying, in shā’ Allāh.
Easy on the tongue yet heavy on the scales: SubhanAllāh wa-bi hamdihi & SubhanAllāh Al-‘Azim 1
SubhanAllāh, Alhamdulillah, La ilaha illa Allāh, Allāhu Akbar, Astaghfirullāh wa atūbu ilayh
Allahumma innaka ‘afuwwun tuhibbul-‘afwa fa‘fu ‘anni O Allah, You are Most Forgiving and love to forgive, so forgive me
Yā Muqallibal-qulūb, thabbit qalbī ‘alā dīnik O Turner of the hearts, keep my heart firm upon Your religion 2

Contemplate. Contemplate upon everything. The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم led a contemplative life, that's exactly what we should do.
Anywhere and everywhere you look, everywhere you see the power and signs of Allāh indicating He is the One and the Only One. The Creator of all things. We have become so accustomed to some things that we forget what a true blessing and miracle they are, such as breathing. Breathing alone is a miraculous function of the body but because we're so accustomed to it, we don't appreciate it!
The majority of the people don't contemplate nor comprehend, it is not the eyes that grow blind, but the heart. Their hearts are locked and sealed.
Shaykh Musa Jibril حفظه الله
Allāh said in a Hadith Qudsi, "I will declare war against him who shows hostility to a pious worshipper of Mine. And the most beloved thing with which My slave comes nearer to Me is what I have enjoined upon him; and My slave keeps on coming closer to Me through performing Nawafil [prayer or doing extra deeds besides what is obligatory] till I love him. And when I love him, I become his hearing with which he hears, his seeing with which he sees, his hand with which he strikes, and his leg with which he walks; and if he asks [something] from Me, I give him, and if he asks My Protection [refuge], I protect him." 1
Look at this Hadith, in which Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله said regarding it, 'It is the most noble Hadith narrated [regarding] the virtues of [being amongst] Al-Awliya.' Truly. For [it details how] the door is open for every person who desires to be among the Awliya of Allah. Whoever desires to reach this lofty rank is able to, by drawing nearer to Allah. Allah obligated the mandatory acts of worship, when you fulfill them He loves you for that, and His love toward you will increase the more you increase from the Nawafil.'
From the Nawafil, is if you say SubhanAllāh, this is from the Nawafil. You pray two units of prayer, this is from the Nawafil. You fasted Monday or Thursday, this is from the Nawafil, you performed another Hajj, this is from the Nawafil. Anything extra [from worship] other than what Allah ordained upon you is considered amongst the Nawafil. The more you increase from these Nawafil, the more Allāh will increase His love toward you.

The inner self (nafs) is described in three states:
1. Nafs al-Ammārah – the soul that inclines to evil all the time. It consistently urges the person to do what Allāh prohibited; always dragging the person into evil, crime and wrongdoing all the time.
Example: A businessperson consumed in greed. Cheating, deceiving, falsifying reports, overcharging to make extra profit even at the expense of others. They feel no guilt — only satisfaction at their success. They even justify it saying: “Everyone does it. You’re just being smart.”
2. Nafs al-Lawwāmah – the reproaching soul, he holds himself accountable. The person is aware: they’ve done wrong, or missed something good; they reproach themselves, feel regret, try to improve. They want to repent and return to Allāh.
Example: in this category, that businessperson feels uneasy. They can’t stop thinking about how they deceived people. They feel ashamed and anxious: “What if I get caught? More importantly, what will I say to Allah?” They decide to make things right — perhaps refunding a client or resolving to never cheat again.
3. Nafs al-Mutmaʾinnah – the tranquil soul in peace with Allāh, the righteous person, always hastening to good and staying away from what’s forbidden. These are the people of high rank who have tasted the sweet delight taste of faith — the awliyāʾ (friends/close ones) of Allāh. Always following the good and abstaining from the prohibitions. They reside in this world physically but their souls roam in heaven.
Example: In this category, the businessperson conducts their work honestly. They refuse dishonest gains even when no one is watching. They feel calm, trusting that provision comes from Allah alone. When profits rises or falls, they say sincerely: “Alhamdulillāh — Allāh provides as He wills.

The Messenger of Allah ﷺsaid, “Remember often the destroyer of pleasures: death.”
Reported by Abu Huraira Sunan al-Tirmidhī 2307
It was once said to ‘Abdullah b. Al-Mubarak,
"O Abu ‘Abd Al-Rahmân, you often sit alone at home."
He said, "I am alone? I am with the Prophet ﷺ and his Companions."
[i.e. reading hadith]
In another narration ‘Abdullah was asked,
"How come you don't sit with us after praying with us?
He replied, "I go and sit with the Sahabah and the Tabi'in."
We said, "And how can you sit with the Sahabah and Tabi'in [when they have all passed away]?"
He replied, "I go and read the knowledge I have collected, I find their narrations and deeds. What would I do with you? You sit around backbiting people.”
Adh Dhahabi, siyar a’lam an-Nubala in biography of Abdullah ibn Mubarak رحمه الله
"Stop raising your daughters to be 'pretty.' Raise them to be Sharp like ‘Ā’ishah (رضی الله عنہا). We don't need dolls; we need minds that can't be fooled."
