The woman who he disturbed did not look particularly happy to be talking to him and he resisted the urge to gulp dramatically lest she hit him with the book he could see next to her.
“Umm… Would you like some…” He paused, rummaging around his bag before triumphantly pulling out a bag of normal cookies, thanking God it wasn’t the ahem, special ones.
He all but threw the cookies in the air as she gave him an impatient look.
“Cookies! Want some cookies? They’re uh, really good!” He nervously added. He wasn’t sure why, but he felt like she might end him for approaching her. He resisted the urge to flee as he held out the paper bag to her.
Natalia became nervous and slightly annoyed when he dived into his backpack, cautious by what he could possibly be searching for. He seemed so weird and nervous and she thought that he probably needed Xanax or something. The bag he pulled out held little interest for her. She considered how she should respond to his offer. If she was too cruel, would his heart burst like a rabbits? If she was too nice, would he try to be friends with her?
"I'm not interested in your cookies. Don't you have some freshman seminar to attend?" The blonde raised a finely done brow. Based off his behavior, he was either a freshman or an upperclassman that had been traumatized by the finals he'd taken in the spring.
"I'm not a licensed therapist but you should really relax. You're stressing yourself and others out." She sighed and picked up her book again, picking up where she'd left off.
"Any chance you eat meatlovers pizza cause....I've got one that I can't eat."
“Is that supposed to be a pick up line or are you serious?”
strugglingpsych:
“Do you have more than just pizza? Not usually, especially not with amodel when they need to focus on not consuming more calories than recommended.”
“Uh, there’s breadsticks in here….but the pizza is the main problem! I need someone who can eat it!”
"I guess I could help you eat it."

Matthew’s mouth was wide open as the cab dropped him off the front of the university. He had been staying on a hotel 20 minutes away from the college area for a few days until residency has been finalised, just to familiarise himself with the city before the term started. He had been to New York before, with his family for business trips that they wanted him to come with so they could bond however, living in the big city was completely different from the usually small town peace that he had gotten used to in Canada.
Today, he decided he’d tour the university facilities and look at everything it had to offer. He was amazed how grand everything looked like even compared to the magnificent pictures they had on their website and prospectus. He wandered around aimlessly, not really looking for anything particular.
He reached the garden with its clean looking lawn and figured he could relax for a bit before going back to sightseeing. He took off his hoodie so he could lay on it and put his headphones on his head, getting comfortable in the grass. He was about to blast his music when he noticed a person a few feet away from him.
“Oh, hello? I’m not intruding or anything am I?”
Natalia wouldn't say she was having the most relaxing of days, especially not after picking up some the the novels required for her English Lit classes. Who in their right mind would want to pay $50 on some damned books that weren't even text books, just novels. Seeing as campus life was all focused around the dorms currently, she made sure to avoid it and found herself a nice sitting area on the large lawn areas.
She'd been camped out for close to 15 minutes and was finally starting to find some peace as she read through Heart of Darkness. It wasn't the most uplifting of books but it was honest. The blonde had set it down momentarily to check the time on her phone and as she was putting back into her bag, heard the sound she did not like to hear. People.
"Only when you asked if you were intruding." She turned and gave this new comer a very blank look, "Can I help you?"
I’ll make sure you aren’t forgotten

Late Nights || Amelia and Natalia
saintttjude:
Amelia shrugged, small talk on the east coast normally began with a question of one’s career choice, and she was surprised that Nat was annoyed by the question, “Ah! That’s where I’ve seen you, there’s a subway with your ad on it,” she moved on to Nat’s question, “I’m an engineering major, currently working at the school bookstore.”
“Really?” Amelia grinned, and the uber slide up the street, “well,” she said, walking towards the car, “I can tell you that you probably won’t regret it.” She gave the blonde a wink.
Natalia rummaged through her clutch for a moment, considering if she had enough time for a cigarette and if she had the supply to waste half of one should their ride come earlier than she expected. “There probably is, it was one of my biggest contracts.” She couldn’t remember meeting an engineering major before but she was almost certain this woman was too cute to be one.
The Slavic woman followed behind her companion and looked at her with a look that expressed some doubt. Natalia hoped Amelia wasn’t talking these clubs up more than they were worth. And what was that wink? Was she flirting with her?
Birthday Buddies || Arthur & Natalia
She’d like it, probably, or at least that’s what advice he’d gotten from his sister about birthday gifts for girls. Prior to this, Arthur had had no idea that half the things in the box even existed, but apparently they did and all of them actually had a different use. In all honesty, they looked exactly the same to him. As he stared half befuddled at the computer screen, his mobile buzzed in his pocket.
Speak of the devil. With a bit of a half grin, he typed in a response.
[text] I’d love to. I’ll bring a walker, just in case.
[text] Dinner? We could grab food from one of those artisan stands near the park or go to a restaurant, unless you have something else in mind.
Natalia laid splayed across her bed as she waited for a reply from Arthur, playing with Menhit. She had no real plans for the night and figured that they could make some as they went along. It was what the youth did, right? Make spontanious plans?
[TEXT] Artisan stand sounds good. I'll meet you at 79th Street, by the art museum.[/TEXT]
She arose from her bed and began to retouch her make up and hair, even if it was just hanging out with Arthur she couldn't risk looking anything less than perfect. It wasn't much longer before Natalia left her apartment, taking a cab to meet with one of her dearest friends.
[Natalia practically growled at the fingers being wiggled so close to her, was body language foreign to her?] I don’t care who you are. Go back to arts and crafts.
[ flinches slightly before smiling hesitantly ] I may as well get the name of the person giving me good advice, right?
Have you been huffing that shit? I told you I don't care, which means I don't care to tell you my name under any circumstances.

She waited, hoping for a little compliment from Nat to herself. When it became obvious she wouldn’t get one, she just gave a slight nod, standing up and shoving her hands in the dress’s pockets. “So, what do you do Nat?” she thought the girl looked familiar, maybe she’d seen her at a female STEM convention.
They had about five minutes to kill before the uber came, she figured small talk was a good idea. “We’ll hang with the hets first, and when you’re tried of dicks getting tossed around we can try some of my favorites.”
Natalia raised a brow at Amelia’s question. What did her current career choice matter? “When I’m not studying psychology, I’m either serving shit food or modeling.” She looked at the other woman to see if any of her answer made it clear just how much she lacked a functioning social life. “What do you do, Amelia?”
She almost considered taking a seat on the bench again to save her poor ankles but Natalia knew the more she sat down, the more her ankles would end up aching. She started considering the lack of luck she was having in the men department and Amelia’s club suggestions as far as the sexual orientation of them. “Let’s go to your clubs. I’m tired of cocks grinding my lower back.”
