Trevor stood outside the inverse house, his raichu at his feet, florges at his side, and a third pokemon enclosed in a ball in his hands, offering a small smile to the boy in front of him.

❝ I was wondering if perhaps you could explain the whole inverse thing to me, and how it works. Or, more interestingly, how you make it happen. ❞

The battles confused Trevor to no end. Everything he’d learnt about pokemon previously had become completely thrown out the window, and, although annoying, and baffling, it only made him more curious.

Pokemon were wonderful creatures.

The exclamation escaped Trevor’s mouth before he could stop it, watching his raichu run off with his florges quick behind, before the mouse pokemon ran straight into an unsuspecting girl.

Both Trevor and florges visibly flinched as they hurried up to the pair in front of them, Trevor’s brows furrowing in slight concern, and annoyance, a blush dusting across the pale skin of his cheeks out of embarrassment.

❝ A - ah, sorry. Tesla tends to . . . run off by himself, ❞ he explained, ❝ Are you okay? Uh -- My name’s Trevor, by the way. ❞
