Not in the magical sense - Although, he does wield a power that could be problematic should Lucifer ever find himself on the wrong end of it. No, it's more that each meeting leaves the Devil feeling more fond of the man than he'd like to admit. He's slowly edging under Satan's skin and that is dangerous. Perhaps that's his plan. Work from the inside out. Whatever it is, it has Lucifer on edge. "As tempting as the offer is -" He twists his wrist, summoning a goblet of water which he then holds out to Stephen. "I would hate for you to sober up and have to deal with the regret of having sucked off Satan."
❝ REGRET? ❞ Stephen glances down, snickering to himself. The water receives absolutely no acknowledgement.
❝ You say that like I wouldn't be commending my efforts for the next... rest of my life. ❞
He glances up, corner of his lip twitching in a smirk. SMIRK OF THE DEVIL. Wait, no... That's not right.
❝ People... Do you normally... ❞ An index finger waves through the air, and the Cloak plucks the glass from Lucifer's hand before shoving it toward Stephen's lips. As he tries to push the glass away, he scrunches his nose. ❝ THAT A THING FOR YOU? Or... ❞
IT DEFINITELY ATTRACTS ATTENTION. Castiel wants to bask in the third eye looking at him like a cat chases after a sunspot to sleep in. It's ridiculous but he can't stop it. He walks over to the coffee machine to pour himself a cup because he really needs one so early in the morning and because it gives his hands something to do besides hanging limply at his side. Arms. Really silly appendages if you don't need them for something. "I could help you figure out how to use it. Well, I don't mind training with you," he amends, "I don't know how this particular eye works. Probably not like angel eyes."
THE LINGERING VACANCY of Castiel's lacking grace is ever-present, and yet Stephen often forgets that the guy bunking in his home was an angel. An angel of the Lord.
When Castiel first arrived at the Sanctum, Stephen made sure to read through that alleged "good book" called the Bible. He only remembered bits and pieces from childhood, and he wasn't sure if it would actually be of any help now, but the point of reference couldn't hurt.
