So... Just watch Reacher season 2. Quite enjoyable but nothing too special. But one thing caught my ear.

At the end of the episode Reacher buys himself a Trailways bus pass for 1 year of traveling anywhere in the US.

"That's $1,980 of freedom"

Now as someone whose planning a US road trip I actually thought that would be something I'd be interested in. I actually got a little excited. I searched high and low on the internet and couldn't find such a pass. I went as far as to contact customer services for Trailways and they informed me they don't sell anything like that.

So my question is why would Prime make up such a specific fictious product from a real company?

Also Im not the only person I've seen asking this so why don't Trailways sell it? There's a market for it. It could be the European rail pass equivalent in the US. I find it a little bit frustrating but also just confusing.

Rebel Moon clearly needed to be a TV series with each of the episodes introducing a new character/scenario, so that there was time to do all the necessary worldbuilding and characterisation properly. The fact that Netflix didn't care about that is concerning.

Like, you want to do 'Seven Samurai' in space? Fine. But there's a way to do that without it being just an underdeveloped hotchpotch of unrelated action scenes featuring cool-looking characters we know nothing about. Then just hurriedly shoehorning in some exposition and moving on as if having the characters actually interact with each other isn't integral to caring about them.

Honestly, it depresses me so much how normalised it's become for the movie industry to just churn out bigger and bigger blockbusters which are so CGI heavy you can taste it at the expense of everything else that makes a movie, you know, good. And this mindset that, so long as it looks stunning and the fight scenes are 'epic', then it doesn't matter if the story is derivative, predictable and/or poorly-paced and has stilted boring dialogue, is really damaging the craft. The acting and costumes and sets all typically do their best to keep everything afloat, but if the script is convoluted or just a series of badly-hidden tropes, then that's what comes through.

My biggest fear is that we as an audience are gradually forgetting what a well-crafted movie actually looks like, and just settling for mind-numbing spectacle, because that's all we're being given.

The newer Zorro film, The mask of Zorro, came out in 1998

Meaning Patterson is conceivably young enough to playing a Bruce Wayne that watched his parents getting killed moments after watching Antonio Banderas and Catherine Zeta Jones absolutely slay in one of the most underrated action/adventure movies of that decade.

Funny film but Ray is under utilized in this one

6. Isaak Sirko, Dexter

Ray is great, cool as ice in this one, just wish he got to do more

5. Volstagg, Thor franchise

A favorite character of mine from the comics. Ray looked great for the big screen adaptation but again Ray didn't get to do much after the first film

4. Frank Castle, The punisher: Warzone

Love this character. Not my favorite Punisher iteration but at least this time Marvel had him flex his acting muscles a bit more

3. Titus Pullo, Rome

A fantastic series and Ray provides a lot of the levity but still a cool character when he needs to be. This is where I first became a fan.

2. Baylan Skoll, Ashoka

The main reason I wanted to watch the show tbh and can I say... HE KILLED IT. Ice cold. The fans will miss him but it makes an amazing final piece to his filmography and legacy.

1. Edward Teach/Blackbeard, Black Sails

Holy crap. This is Ray at his best, no question. A phenomenal show with all round great performances but Ray stands out for me. He fills the larger than life role of Blackbeard and then some, giving the real life legend humanity and relatability. Truly a massive talent and he will be missed.

that’s because this movie was filmed as an R-rated (18+) parody, but at the last moment before release, warner bros decided it would loose them too many fans of the cartoon for children and sully the good name of Scooby Doo and had the film re-edited down to PG. why do you think so much smoke was coming out of the mystery machine? why shaggy’s girlfriend is called mary jane? daphne and velma were lesbians and one of the first instances of cgi costumes on human actors was used to raise the neckline on their blouses. Freddy was played as gay with only the scene where they admit it deleted.

if you don’t know about this, seriously look it up. here’s a very toned-down wiki article but there’s much more out there. this film sounds like it was written for tumblr ten years early

Anyone who says they don't like the rings of power because the black and POC cast members don't conform to Tolkiens lore does not understand Tolkien's work. Tolkien was a student of mythology who understood that myths change with each generation of storytellers. He wasn't making holy canon never to be changed. Anyway, the central themes of the books are about finding the beauty of the world and the love in one another. Don't you think focusing the ethnicities of the actors flies in the face of Tolkien's point? He was a veteran and had seen the outcomes of letting our differences and fears divide us to the most extreme extent. Can you put aside your racial prejudices a second and appreciate how beautifully made the program is? We should be greatful that we have such a vivid depiction of Tolkien's work. We can accept that it will never be perfect or replace the original source material but when are films and TV shows better than the books? Just appreciate it for what it is.
