Your fic has such good characterization imo, you can feel enjins stress when reading. And the idea and description of the pressure chamber is so scary but also incredibly cool and clever. I really can’t wait for them to save rudo!!! Can I ask why the last tag on the fic is slight age regression

Riyo is loud and chatty, but her actual presence is deathly quiet. She frequently walks without a sound and breathes in time with ambient noise on reflex. On sleepless nights, most of the cleaners have been jumpscared by her in the kitchen at some point or another. No one can ever see her coming, she just appears

Zanka is a vicious spar buddy. What he lacks in raw power (which he’s not lacking much, mind you), he makes up for in battle iq. He can predict most attacks from conventional weaponry considering he probably has more experience with the weapon than the actual user. He’s always more than willing to offer up ideas for new, unconventional attacks that the other givers can use to improve their fighting styles

Rudo has a deceptively keen eye, trained by his years as a scavenger. Lost your hairbrush? Yeah it’s in the far corner of the back room no one’s been in in days. Can’t find something in your closet? Bring Rudo over and he’ll spot it in five seconds flat. He’s also the first to notice changes in their environment, be it a new decoration in someone’s room or a new piece of clothing added to another cleaner’s wardrobe

All three of them have heightened reflexes, moreso than most of the other cleaners. Riyo and Zanka from needing to be ready for a fight at any time, and Rudo from potentially needing to retreat from an oncoming attack. Someone drops a glass and Zanka snatches it up before it even touches the floor. People try to get payback on Riyo but they simply cannot creep up on her. Rudo can outrun most of his teammates over long distances, unprompted, no matter where he is

I can't tell how Mymo's (true) taunt will affect Rudo. On one hand, he knows that Mymo was full of shit. On the other hand, that statement will buzz around his head. Rudo might pick up on idiosyncrasies around him that might point at the wrong person being Regto's murderer.

He won't just believe that of course. But it would strain his relationships and affect his judgement. Which brings me to the Watch.

Enjin took it off.

Rudo has no idea how or by whom Mymo was cut and now he won't see the tool with which Mymo was cut, either. If Enjin doesn't tell Rudo the truth himself, then the entire Time Walk, Watch and Alto thing will remain his secret.

And Enjin already kept that secret for more than necessary. Enjin keeps other secrets as well like why he was in Mono when Rudo fell down there. It also looks like Enjin has bad family history with the Surebrecs.

This could be one of the idiosyncrasies that Rudo could pick up on which he will then mistakenly attribute to Regto. Rudo will not blindly believe what Mymo said, but he could get suspicious and hostile after finding proof of something and linking that to the wrong thing.

if anyone in the cleaners can connect the dots, it’s Semiu, Tomme, and Corvus, bc let’s face it, Tamsy’s a little sloppy, so while it’ll be a challenge to convince Rudo that one of them is a murderer and kidnapper, he’s gonna know the truth sooner or later, and I CANT WAIT to see his reaction to everything

I hope to god the answer is yes. Completely unforced error on Enjin's part, making stupid mistakes for no reason whatsoever except that he is utterly unwilling to stop taking weight onto himself. This is just how I like him.
