My name is Sav and I'm the creator of Thicker Than Blood! Here's me along with sassy vampire Vex and our secluded werewolf Clyde from our pilot that is in the works. 🦇🐺

It's Mental Health Awareness Month!

Thicker Than Blood has a large cast of neurodivergent characters. Sometimes with neurodiversity, it can be easier to develop mental illness. We at Studio MADBAT acknowledge the very real realities that come with these struggles. Our lead characters, Vex and Clyde, have to understand and grow with their mental health throughout this series. ⬇️

Vex struggles a lot with feeling constantly pushed out and discarded, making him feel unwanted and unloved. He often leans on alcohol to help sooth his mind, but in turn it often costs more than he bargains for. His mental health fluctuates throughout this series, showing his struggles with fear of abandonment and his neurodivergent mind.

Clyde is an autistic and isolated werewolf that has many PTSD and psychosis episodes throughout the series. His issues mixed with his neurodivergence, make him unpredictable and odd to any outside viewers. Since werewolf culture isn't really known, he struggles with being constantly misunderstood and isolated from others. We focus on his mental health as the moon is closely tied to his PTSD episodes.

It's Autism Acceptance Month!

Clyde is one of the leading neurodivergent characters featured in Thicker Than Blood!

Growing up in the woods, Clyde feels a sense of comfort from the crackling of the grass, the sun, the running of water, and the crackling of his fireplace. He grounds himself by woodcarving and enjoys collecting buttons, holding dear a blanket that's covered in them. While crows scare him at first, they later become an indicator of his friend Ophelia.
