Nowadays, I’m learning to let go of this persona that I created for myself. That I daydreamed about so often in the past. This could never be me. I just wished it was for so long. And I hurt myself in the process. Lately, I’ve been trying to discover my true self, going through all the scattered clues I’ve collected over the years. A photograph or painting I get emotional about, written words I hold dear, tones I surround myself with,… I bet it will take me many more years to realise what’s truly important. There is still a long way to go from here. I feel it. But, every day, I wake up and I choose myself, and it’s all I can ask of myself right now. It’s a difficult thing to do. Especially after being told so many times by society and closed ones that you’re not enough and that your way is a bitten path you shouldn’t go down and explore. Ever.

I’ve been asked quite a few times about swatches I use in my notes and in my journal. As you can see my favorite is probably the grey Mildliner 😂 I use my Muji gel ink pen in 0.38 with all of these. Pictured: Zebra Mildliners. Stabilo point 88 pens. Staedtler Triplus Fineliner nature pack. My new Pentel brush pen.

PS - sorry the lines aren’t very straight, I have a hard time drawing straight lines on unlined paper 😂
