June 3, 2026
Only a few days left before school starts again and I'm dreading it. Definitely not ready... I need this time off so much but I think I'll have to start with some work today.
One day, all this late-night studying will pay off
If I just keep repeating this to myself in a Tommy Shelby voice maybe I will get my shit together
2.12.25 • early morning phonetics, thick fog, and writing xmas cards.
11.14.25 | struggling on how to best maximize my break / studying

i submitted my final PhD application monday night. there's still a long road ahead and i'm already having stress dreams about interview invites, but at least i'm done with the part where i write 17 slightly different versions of my statement of purpose.
wait let’s try this again. #26 on ur spotify wrapped is how 2026 will go for you, how screwed r u
decided to take pictures of myself reading in taxis (the only form of public transport available to me) to make the case for the following text;
“Time spent reading is always time stolen. Like time spent writing, for that matter, or time spent loving. Stolen from what? Let’s say, from the duty of living. Which is probably why the subway—this stinking symbol of the duty of living—is the world’s largest reading room”
I very much agree with these suggestions. Forcing myself to write was the way I could finally start to become an active rather than a passive user of the target language.
There is no shame in never becoming fluent in your target language(s). Learning a new language even a little bit is great. Having the ability to communicate even a little bit is great. Learning about the culture(s) is great. You're doing great. Enjoy the experience.
They should invent a falling asleep that is easy
invent a staying asleep that is also easy
they should also invent a waking up that is easy
