shoutout to the words "overmorrow" and "ereyesterday". english losing these words was stupid. "the day after tomorrow" "the day before yesterday" clunky-ass constructions. revolting. i'm bringing overmorrow and ereyesterday back in my idiolect and there is nothing you can do about it

What do you all do when you are burned out but cant take a long break?

I am going on walks, reading, sketching and trying to give myself some grace. Its not easy getting out of burnout but am persisting.

Would love to know if there are other methods that work.

Life Lately

16th July 2026

Thoroughly burned out and my brain is fried. I feel like taking a long break and becoming a hermit. Sadly, that’s not possible for this corporate girly. But thankfully, I am going home soon! Yes, I will be working there too (no respite 🙄) but I will be reunited with my family and eat delicious homemade food!

My language learning journey is progressing slowly but not steadily, though I am trying to squeeze in time during commutes to watch YT videos of French YouTubers and listen to korean podcasts.
