I was in class all day!! My lab has a lot of people I haven't talked to in a while... so it's going to be a fun year :) I also stayed up reading until 11pm (I love reading again haha)

today felt like the beginning of autumn with chilly weather and leaves starting to fall. i love that i can finally spend time outside any time of the day without suffering from the extreme heat.

monday | september 8

last day in my hometown before i fly back to campus! i'm grateful i got to visit, but looking forward to being back at school – seeing family and pets is lovely, but i've struggled without my familiar places and daily routines. this is the place i grew up, but it doesn't necessarily feel like home anymore.

all the time i've spent in coffeeshops over break has paid off, at least – i've finally finished drafting my grad school statement of purpose. it's still a long road, but just having any piece of it done is a relief.
