“Wear the ‘coat’ of adhkār so it can protect you from the evil of humans and jinn. And cover your souls with istighfār (seeking forgiveness) so it can erase the sins of the night and day. “

“The experience of Prophet Yunus `alayhi sallatu wa sallam (may Allah send his peace and blessings upon him) is so crucial to internalize. When he was trapped in the belly of the whale, he had only one way out: turning completely to Allah, realizing Allah’s oneness and his own human frailty. His du`a’ encapsulates this truth in such a profound way: “There is no God but You, glory be to You, I was wrong.” (Qur’an, 21:87) Many of us are also trapped inside the belly of the whale of our own desires and objects of worship. It is our own selves which we become enslaved to. And that imprisonment is the result of putting anything where only God should be in our hearts. In so doing we create the worst and most painful of prisons; because while a worldly prison can only take away what is temporary and inherently imperfect, this spiritual prison takes away what is ultimate, unending and perfect: Allah and our relationship to Him.”

22.05.2020 The Night of 29th Ramadan
The end of concise Quranic-study for the month of Ramadan and the start of StudyQuran for life in shaa Allah.
I have no idea how I’ll do this. Being a medical student and a person who gets very easily swayed away by the glitz and glamour of this world consistency and allocating time for this is a challenge on a very personal level.
Perhaps I won’t gain any followers here on tumblr. But this is a statement I want to put out there for myself esp so that I don’t get swayed by the validation people seek in followers and likes. I am embarking a journey as a Student of Quran. A lifelong journey, something my soul really craves. I can feel my soul, thirsty for Quran and longing to fulfill what it was created to do. This blog is just journaling my journey for my future self and for other 21 year olds or teens out there who may feel the same connection to Quran that I now feel or they want to feel.
If anyone reads this; my first post as a student of Quran, no matter what year it is or what time I want you to msg me and tell me all about your journey with Quran and your relationship with it. Im not judging anyone on this blog. I don’t care if you open the Quran just once a while in the entire year.
Everyone is welcome here to ask questions or seek help.
