December 10 || What is a cherished family tradition ?
I didn’t grow up with a lot of money to spend so our family didn’t buy and give Christmas gifts for each other. Although every Christmas and New Year, we will always cook a lot of food and wait up until midnight and spend time all together eating our home cooked meals. I think another beautiful thing is giving out and receiving portion of food within the neighborhood wishing them Happy holidays :)
December 11 || What is a favorite family Christmas/holiday memory that has stuck with you through the years? Why?
I think spending Christmas together when we were just kids.. But now, my elder siblings have their own families and I’m the last born and only kid that stays with my parents on Christmas, it’s kinda sad to witness that.
December 12 || Does your family have any odd traditions during holidays?
Hmmm, I don’t think we have? But I guess my mom does this thing were she would play Christmas music at september 1 ☺️🤍
If you were mistreated, abused, or traumatized by therapy, by psychiatry, by hospitalization, by anything that was described as treatment for your mental health problems:
I believe you. I feel for you. What you went through was not your fault. You did not deserve it. It was not in your best interest if it harmed you. You are not crazy or irrational or delusional for being traumatized or for being critical of the systems that harmed you. Talking about what you went through is not "fear-mongering" or "spreading misinformation". Anyone who dismisses you or tells you that what you went through is too rare to be worth talking about is wrong, silencing survivors is wrong.
You are not wrong or hypocritical if you take medication or pursue therapy after what you went through, or if you identify with your diagnosis. If some meds made you sick and the ones you are on now help you, that is okay. If you choose to not take any meds, that is okay. If you choose not to go to therapy and reject every diagnosis you were given, that is okay.
This is a very complex thing, there is no one answer that will help everyone. You deserve whatever helps you cope and makes you feel right. You should be the ultimate decision maker in your own life, and that includes therapy and medication.
I believe you, and I'm sorry.
My breakfast this morning + my newest read, Socialism: A Very Short Introduction. This series of books is published by the Oxford University Press and they cover a vast number of topics! I recently bought a few on topics that interest me or that I want to know more about. So far I’m really enjoying it and finding it very informative!
Experiencing burnout in an area you love doesn’t mean you are no longer passionate about that thing, or are any less good at it. It’s often an indication that there are other parts of your life that need your care. A garden looks most beautiful when every flower is watered, and you deserve to nourish yourself in the same way. You will flourish again.

Your social justice should be founded on love for others, not on a desire to be the most visibly enlightened.
i’m taking it easy today. sometimes you just need a day to chill, to sip on a warm mug of tea, review old screenwriting notes, and let your body rest. i’m just taking today one minute at a time. thank goodness it’s friday ♡
