Do you like the color of the Sun?
Get ready to be dazzled by the true spectrum of solar beauty. From fiery reds to cool blues, explore the vibrant hues of the Sun in a mesmerizing color order. These images were taken in a wavelength of extreme ultraviolet light to clearly see any activity on the surface of the Sun — giving scientists a wealth of data for solar studies.
Hot New Planetary System Just Dropped.
We hope you like your planetary systems extra spicy. 🔥
A new system of seven sizzling planets has been discovered using data from our retired Kepler space telescope.
Named Kepler-385, it’s part of a new catalog of planet candidates and multi-planet systems discovered using Kepler.
The discovery helps illustrate that multi-planetary systems have more circular orbits around the host star than systems with only one or two planets.
Our Kepler mission is responsible for the discovery of the most known exoplanets to date. The space telescope’s observations ended in 2018, but its data continues to paint a more detailed picture of our galaxy today.
Here are a few more things to know about Kepler-385:

Top 10 Reasons to know Sign Langauge:
1. You can communicate through windows 2. Sign language is a 3-D Language 3. You can sign with your mouth full 4. Hearing parents can communicate with their Deaf child 5. You can sign underwater 6. Sign Language is a neat way to express yourself 7. You can communicate across a room or via mirror without shouting 8. Sign language is beautiful 9. You can make friends with Deaf people 10. Sign language brings together Hearing & Deaf people
Also if you really want to learn most deaf people are so happy that you are interested in learning and will be super patient and work with you.
And it’s a really great thing to be able to do for any job because imagine having to go everywhere with someone that can translate for you or with paper to write or trying to read lips and just going to grab a cup of coffee and Hey, the barista knows sign language. They aren’t great but you get to speak with them and order your coffee in the way that’s natural to you like that would just make your day. Or a teacher that can talk and sign so classes don’t have to divide?? Or a therapist that can sign?? Hearing people signing 2k15 honestly.
I’ve been learning to help my HoH/deaf customers, so have some links!
Dummies Guide To: Basic Sign Language (all still images, no videos)
ASLPro (video dictionary)
ASL University (video dictionary, lessons, terminology, and more)
I know VERY little sign, like two or three words. But let me tell you somethjng, you know that post about how to sign “happy halloween” that went around this year? I was working cash that night, so I learned it.
I HAPPENED TO GET A DEAF CHILD AT THE WINDOW. When I passed her some candy and signed “Happy Halloween!” her whole face lit up and she started laughing. It was probably the first time anyone had said it to her all night.
I can say thank you, I have a name sign, and for my deaf customers, just knowing I can learn THEIR names means so much. Learning ASL is now on my active list of goals.
Take thirty seconds. Learn a sign a day. You never know when you’ll use it, or who you’ll raise out of silence.
I’ve learned signs for things like “help” “food” “water” “hospital” and “police” because if those words are ever needed it’s good to have them.

“Hope is often misunderstood. People tend to think that it is simply passive wishful thinking: I hope something will happen but I’m not going to do anything about it. This is indeed the opposite of real hope, which requires action and engagement.” - Jane Goodall
Currently reading Jane Goodalls Book of Hope. And It does.. give me hope!
