3 Free Printables for Improving Your College Semester
I really love printables, which are basically customizable single-sheet planners specifically for tacking health, activities, assignments, or grades. I’ve started making my own college printables and I want to share them with you all for free — if I’m getting something out of using them, then I want you to, as well!
Weekly Schedule Printable
The first printable is a weekly schedule printable. This is just a simple, clean-cut planning page that you can use to schedule your week. I use colored pens and pencils to fill it out so that I have every week at a glance.
Semester Schedule Printable
The second free college printable is a semester-at-a-glance planner. It is divided into 14 weeks, the length of the average American college semester, and has slots for every day that you can use to write down important due dates. This is an easy way to make sure that you never miss any important deadlines! It slips easily into a folder or binder, or can be hung on your cork board.
Assignment List Printable
The third and final free printable is this assignment tracker. I like to track all my assignments in a single document so I am never surprised by what’s coming up, no matter what class it’s for. This pretty printable lets you write out each assignment and keep track of them all in a way that’s clean and not too overwhelming.

When I was in the seventh grade, I was put in a class for under-performing students.
Yes, really. (LOOK AT ME NOW, MOM.)
The purpose of the class was to teach us the skills we needed to be better students. One of the first things we learned was the Cornell notes method. Though I hated doing it at the time, by my sophomore year in college I was using it to prepare for and study for all my exams. Today I’m sharing my method for taking Cornell notes, plus a free worksheet that you can use to take them, too.

Scheduling doesn’t come naturally to me. I’ve spent months on a single eight-page paper, and I’ve written a term paper in the three hours before class (#regrets).
As you can imagine, neither of those are a great approach; if you take too long to write a paper, it eats away at the time you spend on other assignments. If you rush it, it’s not going to be as good as it could be. In both cases, I could have benefitted from a good college essay timeline. And if you’re struggling to finish your essays in the right about of time, I’m willing to bet that you could, too.
An essay timeline sets a series of mini deadlines before you have to turn your paper in. By blocking out when your research needs to be done or when you need to be halfway through your paper, you’ll be able to keep yourself accountable as you write. This one trick has made it so much easier for me to meet my essay deadlines.
Making an essay timeline doesn’t need to be a hassle. Below are three ways to schedule writing your college essay.
