I've finally completed my Widdershins fanfic featuring everyone's least favourite characters. What can defeat the ancient malice of the terrible standing stone. Allow me to introduce my upcoming comic, Tales from the Embassy! I hope to have Vol. 1, The Clerk's Tale, ready to launch by this fall.

Here's the overall blurb for the comic: In the soaring halls of the Embassy, where representatives of magical cultures meet and negotiate, everyone has their own stories to tell. Step behind the scenes for a look into the lives of the staff who keep the Embassy running day to day.
And here's the blurb for The Clerk's Tale: When a letter from the birth mother she never knew offers Elsiné a job working as a clerk at the Embassy, she’s not prepared for how fantastical the paperwork can get. With the support of her new friends Galen and Feneree, she's determined to prove to herself — and her mother — that she can handle any job the Embassy throws her way.
These are Elsiné, Galen, and Feneree, our first batch of main characters. They also introduced themselves in this post.
I've always liked stories about people who live in some kind of magical or otherwise extraordinary setting, but do small mundane jobs within it. In Tales from the Embassy, I want to give some of those people the spotlight to show how their jobs work (what kind of form do you need to fill out to certify someone as a Dragonkin scale artist? how do you adapt Seafolk food to appeal to land-dwellers?) and what else is going on in their lives.

Given a choice between a rat infestation and a small child with a recorder, I’ll go for the rodents every time.
This line of Elaine's on yesterday's page is giving me even more feels about the earlier scene where Henry and Izzy are guarding the door against the angry mob.
They've never gotten along with their daughter-in-law (especially Henry) but you just know they immediately stepped up to defend her and Fredrick, because that's how they are.

So, what is the Paternoster Gang Halloween Exchange? It is, as the name suggests, a drabble exchange for Paternoster Gang fics centred around Halloween. This means it is focused on the Paternoster Gang (and potentially characters from their audios) as the main characters. Is this only for / relationships or are & relationships also allowed? Both are allowed, just check they correspond with a person’s wishes! How many prompts can I request? You are required to add at least two prompts and can add up to ten. How many relationships can I offer? You can offer between one and five relationships for each of the prompts. You are required to offer at least two prompts and can offer up to ten. How will assignments be matched? Thanks in large part to ao3’s exchange algorithm, you will be matched on a minimum of one fandom and one relationship. The host will, however, try to match participants so everyone gets the request best matched to their offers. Please don't discuss your assignment in public before work reveals. Should I fill in the 'Optional Details' section of my signup? Yes. You must include your Do Not Wants (DNWs) in the optional details section. Only DNWs listed in the optional details section are enforceable by the mods. The rest of the optional details (likes/prompts/etc.) are optional and will help guide your creator and potentially spark inspiration. For your OFFERS, please fill in the length (in words) you would like to write. It is advised to also do this for your requests you'd like to have written. Although much of my material is based on the journals of Professor Benjamin Thackerey, the archive also contains extensive manuscripts from his wife Eliza. For the most part, these consist of wild speculations and theories of little interest to the general public. This short extract, sandwiched between calculations for the maximum number of Anchors that could theoretically exist and seven compelling reasons for the presence of an Anchor on the moon, throws a fascinating light on their relationship. The text is presented as written, without editorial corrections.
