Brown doe eyes rested upon him, clearly unamused. “Hm. I’d also be dead. Yeah, that sounds like a real treat,” Victoria echoed in a similarly sarcastic tone. It had taken her a while to admit to the fact that she was here for a reason; to ensure her safety. But seeing him like this… vulnerable and frail, bleeding out in his office stool… it sparked a certain wariness. Up until now, Cain had come across as this cold, cynical, calculating human being — but this wasn’t play-pretend. Watching him struggle to remove his shirt, she had to refrain from throwing a condescending comment. Never in a billion years would she have thought that Cain Wallen would’ve asked for her help, but contrary to popular beliefs, she wasn’t completely heartless. Equipped with a piece of gauze, she moved closer to him and slowly removed the rest of his shirt. The fabric clung to his bloody chest, but she quickly pressed the gauze against his wound to stop the bleeding. “You okay?” she murmured, dropping the soaked shirt to the floor before reaching into the medical bag with her free hand, pulling out a roll of tape.
“Coulda fooled me,” he spoke, his shocking blue eyes searching for hers in the darkness that surrounded his office. With every step closer, he just felt his breath quicken, cursing at himself for not locking the damn door. This was going to cost him later, if she didn’t follow his rules now, what was she going to think when he actually needed her to do something, would she walk all over him? It made his mind run wild and before he could even comprehend what was going on, she stood before him. Sucking in a breath through his teeth, he pressed his head onto the cool leather of his chair. “Fuck,” he groaned, tightly shutting his eyes as her nimble fingers removed his bloodied shirt and pressed the clean bandage to his wound. “Never fuckin–– Never better,” he finally breathed as he looked up to her. His able hand quickly went up to wrap itself around her wrist. “If you don’t want to do this, just tell me... You don’t have to, I don’t want you to see me like this.”

Settling his hands on her hips, Roman brought her body flush against his. No way he was letting her get away that easily. “Are you fucking kidding me?” he murmured against luscious lips as if she’d just asked the most ridiculous question of all time. Dark eyes peered inquisitively into hers. “How can I make it more obvious? I want you. All of you.” His husky voice echoed in a whisper, accompanied by his hot breath on her skin. He kept one hand on her back while the other reached to cup her cheek firmly. “I don’t wanna share you with anyone.” It might’ve been a selfish statement, but a sincere one at that. It didn’t take a genius to know that the two of them were the definition of chaos, but perhaps that’s why he found himself drawn to her in the first place. She was just as damaged and broken as he was.
The closeness of their bodies was something that she longed for, that she had been craving since they had been apart. At the end of the day and in the back of her mind, she knew that this little game of hers was far from over but that didn’t change the fact that he already had her. All of these little shows and her trying to get under his skin was only proving that he had her in the palm of his hand and that didn’t change since everyone relocated. His words made the gears in her brain rage with thoughts, tilting her head to the side. For the moment, she stayed silent mainly because she didn’t want to share him either but giving up that easily? Not being difficult? The thought confused her. The palm of her hand pressed gently to the side of his neck, biting her lip in thought. It wasn’t like she didn’t want the same thing as he did but her words wouldn’t form the way she wanted them to. “You think I can just give in that easily?”

“Will do,” Tay said, lifting two fingers to her brow. She was no expert, but at least their dad had taught her how to protect herself. The benefit of being a girl was the fact that no one assumed she would fight back — giving her a perfect opportunity to strike. It wasn’t a sure way to victory, but any chance to bruise a man’s ego, she’d take it. Aimlessly scrolling through her phone, Evie’s voice made her look up, but eyes quickly fell on the oh so familiar bag in her hand. Fuck. Tay made a mental note to never let her sister go through her stuff ever again, but the damage was already done. Her secret stash wasn’t so secret anymore. In retrospect, she should’ve steered clear of coke in the first place, given what had happened with Evie’s mom and all, but… it drowned the haunting memory of her own mom and that wasn’t something she was willing to give up anytime soon. When asked what was wrong with her, she snickered under her breath. “Oh, a shit-ton, actually. You want me to write you a list?” she quipped, but the look on her sister’s face made it obvious she wasn’t in the mood for jokes. “Dude… chill. It isn’t mine. It’s Jax’s.” Her face remained impassive even as the lie left her lips. Pinning the blame on Jax became a lot easier when she knew what he’d done to Evie, but lying to her face was never an easy thing to do.
Since she was little, Tay had always been the stronger one, that she remembered clearly but what Evie lacked in strength, Tay picked up and what her sister lacked in speed, Evie came in hot and heavy. That’s how their fights usually went, both canceling out each other out but when it was verbal it felt like the boundaries of family went down the drain, especially when emotions ran high and this fight ––– well it was personal. Holding the dime bag tightly in her fist, she just watched in pure anger as she tried to deflect the accusation. “Dude.. chill?” She repeated it with disgust as she tried to read the girl. It was so easy to pin the blame on Jax, she knew that and no one disliked the boy more than Evie but it was too convenient. “If it was his, why wouldn’t he keep it as his place? That’s bullshit and the fact that you’re trying to feed it to me...” she shook her head, anger and pain coming to the surface. And it didn’t help the fact that they were already high. To her, the highs came in two waves and two waves only. Either it was a relaxing mellow time for bonding, being by yourself or it can take an ugly switch of being an absolute bitch. “Fucking bullshit, Taylor,” she said with gritted teeth. It was the one unspoken rule she had: get high, take shrooms, get drunk to the point where you need to get your stomach pumped... she didn’t care. But coke? That was the one thing she wouldn’t fucking have, not near her and not near her family that she considered herself lucky to be apart of. “You know what... fine, if it’s not yours then...” she trailed off looking at the bag, opening the plastic. “This looks pretty expensive, thinly cut and–” she stuck her finger in it to rub it on the back of her hand. “Not gritty at all. Something this nice would be like two hundred and what, fifty bucks... easy.” She couldn’t help but offer a petty laugh. “Surprised? Let’s not forget that I spent a lot of time around coke-heads. You won’t mind if I just––” without hesitation she poured the fine powder out, some of it blowing away in the calm wind while most hit the floor. She took her shoe and rubbed it into the floor, her wicked smile fading to cold demeanor as she looked at her sister.

“Did you not hear what I just said? It’s not all about strength.” Roman paused in the procedure and eyed his daughter. More times often than not, talking to his kids had the same effect as talking to a brick wall. Although he wished to protect them at all cost, it was impossible for him to be all places at once without watching them both like a hawk. Sure, he trusted them to some extent, but the Reagans girl had a habit of getting themselves into trouble — whether it was intentionally or not. Proceeding to bandage the wound, he couldn’t help but sigh in response. “Well, there are only two ways we can go about this, the easy way or the hard way… but either way, I’m gonna find out in the end.”
“Okay I heard you but with the training I’ve had... or the lack thereof,” she said, before correcting herself, “No offense, I can’t whoop anyone’s ass. My best bet is with a weapon.... gun please,” she said holding her palm out sarcastically. Her dad knew better than to give her one, hell, he’d have to be insane to even trust Evie or Tay with one of those, they’d be in more trouble than before. Evie couldn’t help but winced as her dad fixed her up, and it was sad to say that this happened more than once. Maybe she should go to Tay instead to do it, but knowing her sister, she would probably slap her bruise and chuckle rather than give her a lecture. Sometimes she needed both but right now, she just felt guilty letting down her dad. “So, Roman,” instantly regretting the name she called him but trying to move pass it swiftly. “In your history of raising me, when have I ever been known to take the easy way? I’m not a snitch. If I tell you, people are still going to fucking hate me because you’re my dad... Or they think I’m just a stray you took in... not your actual kid. If I don’t, then maybe they’ll respect me more. So no, I’m not sayin’ shit.”

David didn’t know why or how this girl had managed to crawl under his skin. Maybe because he felt he could trust her, in some weird way, seeing she was the daughter of Roman, after all. The sad truth was he wouldn’t hesitate to hurt her if she spilled secrets about him she shouldn’t. Luckily, she seemed dependable, for now. Also, it would be a shame to lose someone so desirable. “I understand, but here’s the thing; you need to earn it,” he smiled lasciviously. A careless shrug was left as a response, along with a shake of the head, cause… yes, he did like to be prepared for everything to happen, or to be said. Watching her end up on his counter, he let her grab the bottle… kind of eager to drink - to watch her drink. Last time alcohol had been involved, well, let’s just say they had ended up doing other things than just talk or getting to know one another. “Sure,” he murmured, waiting for her to take a guess, and… fortunately, she was wrong. “Whiskey wears off too fast.” His right hand palmed her thigh, not lacking confidence at all thanks to her exploring eyes. "You should know I don’t drink that much, which is why I find it… pleasurable drinking something that slowly fills my veins, kinda like you do.”
With him it was ...odd, she didn’t feel safe, no –– the furthest thing from it but since they all picked up and moved out here, she couldn’t help feeling this dull pang around her life. With him it was ignited and not in a comforting way either, one that made her crawl with anticipation –– almost like she was addicted to the high. “Earn? You think I play fair? That’s quite naive of you,” she spoke, the glint in her eye only growing as he continued to fuel the conversation. His laugh though, that she hadn’t heard very often. She wasn’t going to bother with a glass; dishes, responsibility, that didn’t stick well with her obviously. Unscrewing the cap, she flicked the small red lid onto the counter space next to her, instantly gripping the neck of the bottle and holding it to her lips and taking a longer pull than she originally anticipated. A small wince left her lips, sucking in a breath as her hazel eyes watched him closely. As his hand was placed on her thigh, she wiped the taste of cinnamon whiskey from her lips although she was sure it would linger. His forwardness was something that she admired, her mind always moving too fast to keep up with the nonsense people tried to give to her. His touch wasn’t exactly foreign but its something that looked she forward to, the excitement rushing through her body. Taking another pull as he was close to her, she put the bottle down next to them, her digits going up to trace the collar of his shirt. “I should know a lot of things,” she trailed on, admiring his profile. “Are you calling me slow, David?”

danny held a tight grip around the man’s neck. listening to the sound of his breath getting slower. the one thing that got his adrenaline pumping. gesticulating his guys to move forward, he let the man fall to the ground. who’d known aiden would be such a fool to leave his lady by herself. it’d pleased cain. if not himself too. sneaking around was easy, and juliet’s voice only made his excitement grow bigger. trusting his men to deal with the other guards, he moved closer within the mansion… closer to her voice. the darkness was nothing but a benefit. the dogs, well, they weren’t a threat and not something he was going to waste his time worrying about. at last, he placed himself against the wall, listening to her steps.
she quickly fumbled with her phone, letting it slip out of her nervous and trembling fingers, having it hit the floor with a thud, seeing small pieces of glass scatter around the floor. “shit,” she cursed to herself, picking it up quickly to send a text to aiden.
‘is that you? are you home? aiden is someone here? i’m getting scared.’
of course it was taking too long to send and even if it did, he wouldn’t answer, it’s been radio silence most of the week. he didn’t have to talk to her, not after how she treated him and plus the guards were with her so why would he have to worry. but the silence grew and the only thing that she could hear was the scratching from the bedroom door from their dogs and the lingering silence from the rest of the house. “aiden, come on this isn’t funny,” she tried to play it off calmly, not trying to overreact. but the anxiety in her body kept growing as she went into the next room, clutching her broken phone to her chest. it wasn’t like the guards not to answer her, especially when she was alone. everything was off. moving into the room, her eyes scanned the dark, not adjusting well from the brightness of her phone. “i’m overreacting,” she breathed, turning around to head back into her bedroom.

“Yeah, well, that went fucking great, didn’t it?” he shouted right back at her. There had to be a reason for her father to exploit himself, acting a boss, acting a fool. Through Aiden’s eyes, he was nothing but a rich fuck, trying to claim his ‘baby girl’ to join his team. “I’m dealing with everything with you. Problem is you failed. I found out, and guess what, I just don’t stand and watch when finding out about shit like that. Shit that could end up turning our lives around.” Fuck you. Thanks to that, an offended look appeared on his face. Did she really just say that to his face? “People who don’t wanna end up dead, that’s who!” he stood his ground, cause that’s just who he was. Without Roman, he’d never end up here, in their big mansion, with dollar bills everywhere… with the love of his life. Listening to her, for once, he bit his inner cheeks… to make sure he wouldn’t spit out some mean phrases. No, of course, he didn’t own her. No one did, but he needed her to know she couldn’t do whatever she fucking wanted in her position. Girl was angry, though, alright. He couldn’t remember the last time she’d been this furious. However, he was a stubborn mess too, so… this wasn’t gonna end good. “Do you even hear yourself? You’re acting a goddamn child right now.” Raising a brow at her, he was lead to breathing out a heavy sigh by the time she called him a hypocrite. “I’m not even gonna answer that… just don’t ever keep a secret from me again.”
“You couldn’t even let me finish handling it, so how the fuck would you know?” She didn’t know her voice could carry so loud but this fight, it stuck with her differently, it wasn’t like the time when she accused him of using her as a rebound, this was far more raw –– making it cut deeper. “Are you listening to yourself? You’re doing exactly what my father is doing, trying to fucking dictate everything. He’s my family and I should have to right to handle it without you stepping in and handling it for me! I didn’t fail you just didn’t ––” she cut herself off, her yelling making her throat screech with pain. Even her ocean eyes were turning dark, just trying to match the anger in him that she was invoking. “You think I would let him come between us? The only person doing that right now is you.” Her nails dug deeper into her palms, by this point, Giant even fled, the loudness making him cower into a different room. Rolling her eyes, that was rich coming from him. “Maybe if you would stop fucking treating me like one, I would stop acting like one,” she exclaimed. This wasn’t like their other fights, where they got so riled up that they had no choice but to get their frustrations out on each other in a much more physical way. This... this was brutal. “What, you’re not going to answer it... because –– because I’m right?” A harsh huff left her pretty little lips that weren’t doing anything except for driving a sharp dagger between them. Her mind instantly went to one of the first conversations they ever had, knowing what she said was so far from the truth. “Don’t ever keep a secret from you? You don’t fucking own me, Aiden. You keep fucking secrets from me all the time, don’t just gloss over that because you know I’m right.” Taking a step back, her eyes were searching for anything tangible, just to center herself but it all came bubbling to the surface. “Let’s not fucking forget Katrina, shall we,” she said through a clenched jaw as she felt herself start a forrest fire between them. “You kept that secret from me for so damn long because all along you’ve just been waiting to drop me because in the back of your mind, there is always that red-headed bitch. Maybe I should just fucking leave so you can be with her, isn’t that what you fucking want,” she asked while raging with jealousy, not knowing where this green jealous monster was coming from. She didn’t even let him answer before her voice raised again, “What? Now you don’t want to say anything?”
ꜰᴏʀ ʏᴏᴜʀ ʟɪꜰᴇ ||
gxldhouse:
“So why not tell me right away?” he was quick countering. She was the last person on planet earth he wanted to argue with, but this had gone too far. This kind of mess was not accepted by Roman, and he didn’t want it either. Juliet’s dad could just take a trip to nowhere land and stay there for good; didn’t care how much of a “fan” he was, cause he clearly didn’t care about nothing… or no one. Especially not her own daughter. “You’re so goddamn blind,” he murmured between his teeth. His dad was playing her well, like his little girl, doing whatever to please him. “To hell, it isn’t. You don’t get to handle things yourselves, not anymore… not this… you think Roman will be happy about this? I think no, he’s gonna make a mess outta your shit, but see, we’re not gonna tell him; cause from now on, I’m gonna be your main source… meaning you don’t get to keep secrets from me.”
“Because I was trying to deal with it myself,” she shouted, her anger and emotions bubbling past the point of reasoning. She knew she was annoying to deal with when they were fighting, but so was he. He became the equivalent to a brick wall, one that you can’t go through, or around –– he was unreasonable, just too stubborn in his own way. “I don’t need you dealing with everything for me, I’m my own fucking person, I should be able to deal with my own family before going to you!” “Fuck you,” she countered, her blue eyes squinting in anger as her hands balled into fists. “Who gives a shit about Roman!” She was infuriated, so much so that she could feel steam coming out of her ears. “You don’t own me. Neither of you own me,” she stated, her jaw clenched. “I can do what I fucking please, especially if I know whats best. You didn’t need to know about this cause I was fucking handling it.” This was probably the angriest the small girl had ever been when arguing with him. “That’s so fucking hypocritical. You’re my main source? But it’s not going to be reciprocated, is it? You don’t tell me jack-shit... And don’t fucking act like you didn’t keep secrets from me.”
gxldhouse:
Fuck, if he’d known Tay had this weird-ass sister he’d never gotten too deep into her shit from the beginning. She bothered him, she really did… Roman was… well, Roman was Roman, but he was never to become a problem, not until he found out about him and his dearly devoted daughter. Daughters? Didn’t matter. “I will fucking kill you first,” he grumbled, knowing they both were telling the truth. Hell, he wasn’t even scared to admit it, cause if she couldn’t stand him, it was easier for him to hate her goddamn guts. “No?” he smirked. “Cause I’d love to play.” Taking a step forth, he grabbed the empty beer bottle before lunging it at her head; not having a single fucking doubt whilst doing so. Glass shattered everywhere, his hand left with the handle of the bottle, which he threw away. “Fucking lose it, Evie!”
She knew that when she was older people were going to look at her differently based on who her father was but she never thought that it would be Tay’s fuck buddy at the root of it. Aiden had accepted her long before she was able to fight back and yet Jax was here pushing against the grain. It made her skin crawl honestly. The girl let out a scoff, him killing her? She would love to see him try. Even if she couldn’t take him herself, she had a whole troop of people that could back her up. Falling out of line was never a turn on so she was blind to what Taylor saw in the man. She couldn’t even respond before the bottle was hurdled towards her. “Shit,” she said as she winced and ducked, the bottle crashing against the wall, right where her head was. She stood back up, heart racing and anger running through her veins. “You’re going to regret that,” she breathed, trying to catch her breath. Taking a quick step towards him, her leg wrapped around the bottom of his, pushing in the opposite direction so he fell down. Maybe she should’ve ran, called Roman or Tay, but it felt too good. To her, this was a long time coming. She quickly straddled him, not wasting time in kneeing him in the gut in the process. Evie’s eyes scanned for something until she saw it, her arm reached out and grasped the barrel of the shattered bottle before pressing the sharp edges against his neck, putting pressure against his skin. “Listen closely,” she whispered, her hair falling down all sides of her face. “I can kill you right now and no one would bat a fucking eye,” she said, a wicked smile taking over her lips as her eyes became void of reason. “Taylor would upset, I’ll give you that, but she’d find someone else to fuck... Someone better. Roman would get over it even your brother would move on eventually,” she laughed, tilting her head, pressing harder against his skin, so he could really feel it. “If I die, people would mourn and once they find out who did it, they’d kill you just as easily as I could right now.” Looking down at him, she couldn’t help but get closer, her lips dangerously close to his ear. “You’re expendable.”

Stopping his movements altogether, Roman arched a brow and gazed his daughter. “You’re getting neither.” He wasn’t stupid, he knew his girls were no strangers to drugs, but steroids were out of the question. Now, a gun would make a good deterrent, but not in the hands of his kid. Related by blood or not, they were all a trigger happy bunch. “If you wanna come out on top, you gotta go about it differently. You gotta be smart. Use your head, not just your fists,” he said, putting down the scissors. Her comment made his lips twitch in a brief smile. Sure, ruining her favorite shirt was no fun, but given the crucial circumstances, it needed to be done. “Ought to teach you to be more careful next time, yeah?” he sighed, convinced that it would have no effect whatsoever. Still, a man could only hope. Proceeding to clean the wound, he couldn’t help but ask, “you gonna tell me who did this to you?”
She couldn’t blame him, while she may not be a Reagans by blood, she made up for in spitfire, something they all had with in them. And being a loose canon doesn’t bode well for needing a weapon. The girl found herself getting frustrated at the thought of loosing another tiff. “Well I’m tiny, I can’t exactly count on my award winning strength when it comes to that,” she said, looking at him as he cut her shirt. Rubbing the back of her sore neck with her able and non dominant hand, the girl sighed. At times she wished that she could be like him but then at others, she was glad there was a part of her that could fall off into her own section of the world. “I guess but probably not,” she muttered before rolling her eyes. She wasn’t a snitch and she didn’t want that reputation following her around. “Do I have to?”
