turned 18, went to wetherspoons, had one (1) drink and immediately started thinking about jow transgender i am
big brother bf who catches you trying to cut after your parents have been abusive and he shows you how to do it right and is sosososo nice to you and licks the blood off the wound after
back to giving myself wounds and starving myself. hiiiiiiiii
how to nicely tell someone that you dont care about their partner at all, and only interact with said partner out of grace and courteous and really, by all accounts, both should have their faces caved in for either never shutting up about their shitty partner or being the partner in question
just dont think about it just don't do it just dont do it don't dont dont dont dont
ohhhhhhhh for gods sake my mums drinking again. i mean i knew she'd relapse but for fucks sake cant you wait until i move away or die
shes just as fucking angry and annoying as before too. maybe moreso even. i NEED to run away. fucking screaming at me earlier and now keeping me around to make me watch her pour vodka in a water bottle and guilt trip me for... sleeping in a bedroom? hello?
ohhhhhhhh for gods sake my mums drinking again. i mean i knew she'd relapse but for fucks sake cant you wait until i move away or die
ive kind of been in an "i cant take it anymore" state for like a few years. and yet i keep continuing to take it. fuuuuckkkkk
I DONT NEED TO HEAR ABOUT YOUR EX BOYFRIENDS GENITALS!!!!!!!!!
whenever a vegan is trying to guilt trip and ethics their way into making me a vegan (happens more to me than most people, i think) i cant help but wonder if they actually know anything about anything at all
"omg i cant believe what they do to those animals in the slaughterhouses" well theyre not called smilinghouses are they
"*pic of animal killing tool/straight up gore* how could they do this to a precious animal" the alternative here is not the animal living, its the animal dying in a more painful and traumatic (for the slaughterer) manner
"you cant condemn factory/battery farming if you eat meat/dairy/eggs etc" thats not true. thats a thing you made up. arbitrary
"buying meat means you support bad farming practices" like. i get this one? i guess? but also the alternative is probably buying from small, local butchers that (presumably) do less factory farming then to go vegan. also all of these people eat chocolate which is an industry full of actual human slavery (yeah even the vegan/free from chocolate) which. then implies that animal suffering is worse than human suffering??? you could also do "no ethical consumption under capitalism" but thats a lot more dismissive and hypocritical.
"to get animal products you torture/abuse/sexually assault the animal" basically all of these animals have like. fine lives until theyre slaughtered. which is about the same for humans. also the framing of impregnating a farm animal (famously known for giving enthusiastic consent to all sex (sarcasm)) for milk/offspring as equivalent to human sexual assault is. interesting.
"humans are born with empathy for animals and groomed to think that killing and eating living creatures is ok" i dont know how you can come to this conclusion. eating meat is a very normal thing in nature (which humans are a part of) and it seems like they made this up purely for guilt tripping other people or to justify their own reasons for having more empathy for animals than humans. plus theres obviously a reason that humans get hungry seeing red (the colour of blood and guts) and while performing dissections (come on.) also they always use this imagery of living creatures like they're eating a still squirming alive deer and not. a steak.
like. idk. obviously theres nothing wrong with being vegan but like. idk ive been subjected to all of this shit so much that im wary of vegetarians/vegans now bc i dont want a lecture. i also dont trust these people to be normal about actual humans considering how they seem to treat animals with the same amount/more empathy. and theres an undeniable lack of social consciousness in the thought that the individual action of going vegan will make a difference, or that there is any hope of an organised boycott of... every animal product, in the same way that nestle and mcdonalds boycotts have. because one is several disconnected industries and the others are single companies/groups.
im still doing this. whatever. but someone today goes on discord like "ive been traumatised dont look up [name of device for euthanising rabbits]" WITHOUT SAYING WHAT IT WAS. clearly trying to get a reaction out of the server, which has a bunch of vegans/vegetarians in it. and i googled it and described it as "an instrument to humanely euthanise rabbits". and they all took issue with that? being all "how is that humane its still dying" and "they're literally breaking its neck?" like. the alternative is the rabbit being shot/stabbed. you cant inject it (presumably what these people imagine a humane euthanisation to be) because the meat will go bad. and. im sorry that someone said something which made you imagine a dying rabbit. and that you became distressed by this. this is a perfectly reasonable response to the stimuli given the fact that you have demonstrated a frankly embarassing amount of anthropomorphism for animals. but a tirade about all the points mentioned above is not a measured response to that.
