Statement

Hello all. This is the creator of this comic, Liam. For those who are concerned, I feel the need to clarify. This comic is permanently scrapped/cancelled. There will be no future updates. This isn’t because I’ve stopped liking Steven Universe, in fact, quite the opposite. Bluebird is without a doubt my biggest special interest. However, I’m not fond of the story any more and have no motivation to work on this project. It started out way too ambitious and I just.. don’t have the time or energy or motivation to work on it. I hope you all understand. For those who want to follow my new socials, I do not have any. A lot has changed and I have no interest in posting stuff publicly for various reasons.

I’m just putting the comic on hiatus for a bit, nothin’ too big.

If you are going on eternal hiatus, please archive your blog or don't delete it because your art and story is good.

I don’t plan to do either of those things as of right now. Again, I just need some time to tweak the story and pick my motivation again, that’s all.

The fact that Yellow was able to fix shattered gems in Homeworld Bound removes all the tension for me. But fixing Steven with Rose's Fountain and Yellow would certainly change him a little. For one thing, his body would be able to sustain itself without his gem and pieces of his gem would have to be taken out of his body to restore the full product. That would be one serious operation to get all of them out.

Again, Steven is not going to be healed. At all. It’s never going to happen. He’s as dead as a doornail.

Okay so some of you have noticed I haven’t been active whatsoever on this blog. I haven’t responded to prompts for the AU, I haven’t posted comic pages, nothing. So I wanted to give y’all an update.

1. Right now, I am physically unable to produce comic pages. I do not have access to my computer or drawing tablet. This is because of school and I’m struggling a lot with trying not to fail.

2. I will not be responding or accepting writing prompts. This is my AU after all, why should I take someone else’s writing prompts and use it for myself? I need to rewrite it on my own, or at least modify it. 

3. I’ve really really lost motivation for this comic. I don’t think I’m going to give up on it yet, it might just be a result of stress and depression, but it might not be active for a while. A lot of concepts I find cringeworthy and I just need to modify them to make it closer to canon. Not to mention there’s other things I want to work on, I won’t focus on SU forever.

4. Thank you for 2,000+ followers! That’s a really big number, and I want to pay you guys back. I’ll try to get a new page or update out as soon as possible, because I know you guys wanna see where this comic is gonna go.

If I end up putting the comic on eternal hiatus then I might commission someone to make a written version, me sprinkling doodles throughout. I don’t think I would just spoil the entire story, not unless it comes down to that.

Anyway, thank you again, and I hope y’all take care of yourselves.

I don’t know if I’ll have a writing team for Blueblood to be honest, but it would really help me with my motivation for the comic if I could reach out to people and talk about it without having to worry about spoiling it for them.

Some of you have been wondering why I haven’t been posting Blueblood pages lately. One major factor is school, but the other one is really important, and I’m going to need you guys’ help.

I’m not content with Blueblood’s story. It seems too.. out there. I want something more down to Earth, more accurate to canon. Not something that is just all over the place.

So I’m going to try to rewrite a lot of it from where we are now, and that’s where you guys step in. I want you to help me. I want you to help me write a more down to Earth, closer to canon story. And if your idea is good enough I want to use it for the comic, with permission of course. You will be credited on the profile of this account as well. As to not clutter my ask box, I will open DMs here so you can send me your ideas and theories. Of course, keep in mind that if I do like your concept the comic might be somewhat spoiled for you. But I want to see you guys’ takes on the story.

RULES:

- Work with what is already published, so up to the current pages.

- No overreaching concepts or ideas. I want this to stick as close to canon as possible.

- No OCs or self inserts.

- I want you guys to have fun! Don’t feel obliged to do this or anything, just express concepts you like with the AU.

Of course due to rewriting it pages are gonna be on hold for a while. A couple months at least. I want to come back strong and motivated with a good outline. But thank you for the support for the comic so far, and I hope to continue to share more with you guys.

Okay some VERY important things I will need to mention. 

- Scratch knowing some of the story. If you’re part of the writing team then you’ll know the ENTIRE story.  - I’m going to make a discord server for the writers. I will need you to confirm your age as a result. - I will need you to also confirm that you are not any sort of -phobic or -ist. I do not want horrible people on my writing team.

 I’m considering opening backup artist slots too, ones to do pages for me when I’m not able to. This would be for free entirely of course. Reach out to me with art examples if you are interested. You will need to be able to replicate my style pretty well, and have experience in art, around the same level as mine.

EDIT: If you would like to give me criticisms without joining the writing team please let me know!  Credit will still be given regardless.

Wouldn’t the CG’s be able to take Steven to Rose’s Fountain to bring him back? Granted he’ll be pink and probs wont be able to travel through Lion and Lars anymore but it’d still work right?

Nope! Kid’s good as dead. He can’t live without his gem.
