“Oh my… Sebastien!” Ariya jumped into her husband’s arms, hugging him tight enough to strangle the average human. “You are in… so much trouble! You weren’t answering my calls, I thought… Oh, thank Lucifer you’re alright.”

“She’s teething,” Ariya smirked, pressing him back gently towards the wall. “I have a fair few fang marks, which you’re definitely going to have to play doctor for. But for now, she’s sleeping off the few drops of AB positive I may have added to her water. So she’s all yours when she wakes up, but until then… you’re all mine.”

“Oh, I’m very good at playing doctor. Of course... you might have a few different bite marks by the time I’m done,” Sebastien said, letting out a slight huff as he hit the wall, grinning down at her with pointed fangs. “You drugged our child? Why am I not surprised? All yours huh? That sounds dangerous.”

And then Sander came back, and you didn’t… just… don’t ever do that to me again.” Ariya drew back slightly, kissing Sebastien deeply. “I love you. I think Alexis missed you.”

Sebastien happily returned the kiss, happily reveling in the long missed touch of his wife. “I love you too,” he murmured. “I’ve missed her. How is she? how much did I miss?” His daughter would have grown so much while he was away. Oh how spoiled she’d be in the next few weeks while Sebastien caught up on everything he’d missed.

“Actually, you should probably thank Sander but whatever you prefer.” Sebastien held Ariya tightly to him, breathing in the scent he’d missed for so long. “I’m so sorry Princess. I couldn’t. I was so close to getting this guy, I didn’t want to do anything that might... I should have focused on what was more important. I promise I’ll never make that mistake again.”

Bailey listened to him getting slightly sad at the thought of him having other women with him. She wanted to capture him completely. She wanted to have his love and his heart and his mind.

When he rang she hugged him tightly. “I sure hope. I’d feel severely under dressed.” She mumbled and kissed his cheek. “And i sure think I’ll like taking your tux off of you.”

Sebastien chuckled, bringing her hand to his lips and pecking her palm softly. “Later, minx,” he smirked. “Can’t have you undressing me right after everyone’s made such a fuss that I should be dressed.”

He looked up as there was a knock on the door, and at his word, one of the handmaidens entered. “Ah, Jacqueline. I’m meeting with the King now, I wish for Bailey here to join us. Would you be so kind as to help her dress for the occasion? Bailey, I have the utmost confidence Jacqueline will take the best of care of you. You’re in excellent hands.”

Aryan glanced up at his husband with a smirk, giving the little girl he had been cooing over his finger to gnaw and suck on.

“Females,” he confirmed. “Sadly, I appear to have run into a small mishap with a spell… on the plus side, at least we already know the sex is still good.”

Sebastien grinned, laughing softly at his uh... husband’s statement as he sat down beside him, tickling at his daughter’s tummy and pecking Aryan’s cheek.

“I’m still calling you Princess,” he stated simply. “Though yes, the sex is pretty fantastic either way. I'm sorry I’ve been away, love. Must be pretty hard, especially with your current predicament.”

 “Very well. With my authority and approval, you have my blessing. If the need ever arrives and that’s the only option we have left…we will use it.We speak of this to nobody but Crowley. And since you’re a Vampire under my will…” Sander snapped his fingers and he had a feeling Sebastien would feel suddenly dizzy as his Word-Of-Law ability began to program itself inside the Vampires head. “You are now under this command. You will tell nobody of this backup plan. Not even your wife nor daughter. Only I and Crowley will know of this. Even if captured you will die not saying a word. This is my Law.” Sander said firmly, his voice echoing inside Sebastien’s head.

This was the first time he used his Alpha influences on Sebastien and hopefully his last. “Now you are unable to speak of this to anyone but me and my Husband.” “Sorry but this is confidential. I do this in hopes of keep my daughter and your wife safe I assure you. As for if we’re safe?…There is no way of predicting that but…with so many people willing to help our cause? Yes…for the moment we are safe.”

“S-Sander!” Sebastien objected, fangs showing as dizziness hit him. He’d never experienced Sander’s powers before, never expected he would, and he wasn’t entirely sure he was fond of the experience. In all fairness to the Alpha, he was now guaranteed not to let it slip even under whatever torture anyone could come up with. Given what they would be up against now that Alexis was born, that was most definitely of benefit to him. “Bloody hell! Who do you think I’m going to tell, the whole world? I came to you, I’m not stupid enough to go blabbing that to anyone,” he muttered when the man stopped. “I... thank you. I know what I’m asking of you, even just to keep a secret from her. It’s hard enough to do myself. I am in your debt Sander.”

“Yes I suppose the attachment comes with the territory, doesn’t it?” She growled through her teeth. “So who will you be killing tomorrow?” She smirked over at him. He seemed the kind of vampire to speak from experience, but that was just her first impression. Who knew if he was or not?

Sebastien shook his head, raising an eyebrow at how displeased she seemed by vampires being attached to what was theirs. “At the moment, no one. Though I’m not quite so attached as just protective. As long as no one hurts her, I see no reason to get so angry at someone who’s only embracing the opportunity tonight is giving them.”

“Wherever you heard that from, they are indeed right. He does seem to enjoy angering people on a daily basis. I sometimes wonder if he has more enemies than friends,” she said quite honestly, shrugging her shoulders. “I’ve come accustomed to it. It’s easier just to listen than to start an argument.” She smiled brightly at him, happy that she would be able to have a little bit of fun. She still couldn’t help but tease a little. “You sure you want to dance with me? This is your last chance to back away. I won’t hate for someone like you to get caught in the way of his anger.”

“Well, you get all sorts in the vampire community. Vampirism tends to heighten whatever sort of person you were before you turned. So you can get your samaritans, your obsessives, your drama queens, a whole range of people really, and occasionally you get your psychopaths. I’m fairly certain Klaus Mikaelson fits into the last category. More enemies than friends sounds about right. I hope he doesn’t bully you into always listening.” Sebastien chuckled. He probably would end up a target of Klaus’ war path if he danced with her, but it was almost worth it just to annoy the older vampire. “I’m not scared of the big bad wolf. And I would never leave a woman without a dance.”

It could have been the slow spinning, or maybe even the lights in the room, but everything around them seemed to fade as they danced. Looking at Sebastian helped to guide her confidence and soon her face was alight with a childlike smile. Everything felt perfect now, just like the balls she’d dreamt of. Dancing, gowns, a charming Prince. She couldn’t help but to laugh at the notion, but her smile would faulted from time to time as she felt her feet press against the soft surface that she feared was his feet.

“You’re not a half bad dancer after all.” She smiled up at him, “I mean, you’re carrying my ass pretty well.”

Well, at least she was enjoying herself, even if she was slowly massacring his toes. She seemed to be starting to see the fairytale, the magic in it all. This ball was definitely not all that magical if one were to look past the pretty dresses and dancing, but if that’s what she wanted to think, he was certainly not going to ruin that idea for her. He chuckled lightly at her comment.

“Well, I’ve had a few years of practice,” he shrugged. “Believe it or not, you’re not all that difficult to carry.”

Bailey sighed and looked down at what she was wearing. “There is no way I can meet a king looking like this.” She said going to stand in front of him and putting her head on his chest. “How often do you do this? What number am I?” She asked. “Why are your servants like that when you’re not? You were so sweet to me last night.” She said before pulling away again.

“What should I wear? If you want me to come with you then I can’t wear this.” She mumbled.

“All you have to do is be wearing clean clothes and you’re doing better than half the people he meets,” Sebastien muttered. He looked down at her hand, stroking it softly. “I’m not going to deny that I occasionally bring a woman home for the night. But just for the night. You’re the first in a very long time that I’ve wanted to stay past that.” He shrugged. “They have a job to do, and I’m pretty well the bane of their existence in that regard. I frustrate them, so they get snappy.”

“I might have a thing or two lying around,” Sebastien smirked, ringing for a maid. “I promise you Bailey, you’re not just someone I’ve picked up for a one night stand.”

“I don’t know if I was like, super good, but I loved doing it. Ballroom dancin’ ain’t bad either, obviously.” She said, laughing lightly. It was nice to be able to talk about this stuff with someone. “So, uh, are you from around here, or are you just vistin’ because of the party?”

“Well, you can’t ask for much more than doing something you love,” Sebastien smiled. He shook his head. “Not exactly. I travel a lot, mostly for business, but I’m originally from England. Still, I’m here for a while this time. Still a little too new to the area to be able to say I’m from around here though.

“Well, one is kept rather busy when they’re marrying your daughter. I’m afraid I haven’t been able to surface my annoyingly coy face to come a visit you while my time is rather fiercely demanded elsewhere. I’m sure you were imagining all number of wonderfully horrific things happening to me. Sadly I am still alive and well.”

She smirked and put her arm across him until she was called an escort. She sighed and pulled herself away. “He’s right. I’m worth as little as an escort.” She mumbled going back to how she felt on the day she met him. She sighed and sat up in bed standing up.

Taylor sighed and left as Bailey moved to her sweatshirt. “Wow. Last night was different. I can’t believe I expected it to be something more.” She sighed.

“Should I leave or do you want me here until after you meet with the king?” She asked softly.

Sebastien sighed as she pulled away, scowling at Taylor with a fierce glare. He didn’t want Bailey feeling like an inferior here. She was overwhelmed enough as it was from the change of street to castle, she shouldn’t feel like she wasn’t welcome, because she was.

“Bailey, please, don’t say that,” Sebastien murmured as his servant left. He was going to have to reevaluate just how much leeway he gave some of his more faithful workers. “You can’t listen to them. They have no idea who you are. They’ll be more than welcoming when they’ve had some sense knocked into them, I promise.”

“Of course I want you here. Hell, come with me,” Sebastien said at once as he got to his feet, pulling on a shirt.

Taylor, the servant standing in front of them sighed. “You’re meeting the king of Wentworth in fifteen minutes. I suggest you get up and get dressed, and will your umm escort be joining you?”

Sebastien smiled as she kissed his cheek. “I have very little intention of it,” he murmured, returning the kiss to her forehead.

Sebastien opened his eyes to glare at him. “Excuse me?” he asked pointedly. “Have you forgotten who serves who here? The king has nothing to fear, I’ll be there, and in the mean time, you’ll address her with respect, thank you. She is far from an escort.”
