@suavecustom
Officially 2 years old, Suave Clothing Co had matured and venture more in creative aspects. The year gone by so fast without realising. We had been around producing works for 3 years but officially 2 year as a branding. This was the 2nd time we threw a party to celebrate our achievements all this years. To keep the atmosphere much more heated, we had invited our friends for live music/performances and a few influential people to give and share their creative thoughts and experiences. Not forgetting the talented artistes with their live painting for the audience to witness. That whole month of preparation was real crazy. Getting things to be in place and organising everything from scratch was a real challenge. I’m thankful to have a team who dedicate their time and effort and be by my side all this while to prepare for this big event. It was exhausting but something great to think back after everything was done. I like to send my gratitude to Tom Shellsuit, Dave Code & Zac Mirza of Kult Kafe for having us at their venue. Mac Azaman & Farid Zan of Black Boys Cubano had been working with me together to release our collaboration work titled “ Los Suave Especial” that sells like hot pancake on the event day. The XS collective/ The Crazy 88 came to rock the mic and put us to some ear orgasm masterpiece while DJ Jagg, Shellsuit and Dave Code put up some good hip-hop and funk tunes on the deck all night. The Brat Luck Boys turn up with their loud pipes and showcased their custom bikes for the audiences. The smells of aerosol lingers when the legendary homeboy, MIME & HASTWO put up a live mural. Azri Trickster threw a fantastic jaw dropping juggling/freestylin’ football act on the stage. The main highlight of the day was having 6 of our local creative heads, Slac Satu of ZNC, Acit Salbini & Jjay Ali of Peonfx, DJ Andrew Chow, Dexter Tan of Sole Superior Sg, Mac Azaman of Black Boys Cuban  which had been a maestro in their field of craft for all this years. I was humbled by their presence and acceptance for an invitation as a guest panelist to talk and share on a topic called “The Creative Platform”. Thank you also to the visual team, The Bold Movement for the media coverage and D’Blacklisted Photography for all the photography works. Thanks to everyone who i might miss and those who came down and support us. See you guys next year!
Art Of Speed Tour Johor 2015
Art Of Speed Tour Johor 2015
We had spend our Sunday attending the Art Of Speed Tour Johor 2015 at the Mall of Medini in Nusajaya Johor Bahru, Malaysia. Glad to be meeting some friends over at the event. Another great custom show put up by the good people of AOS. The whole place was filled with amazing customise cars, bikes and even vans. As usual, they had food trucks to fill the tummy right and merchandises booth. Although this time was a smaller scale compared to the last one that happen in KL, it still never fail to impress us with how well they run it. Just a splendid time to end the weekend. Here’s the recap. Till then, vamos.
SummerdazeSg 2015.
The day started out with fine tunes from Pushin’ On & Matteblacc with N’FA Jones hyping out the set. Perfect weather with an amazing atmosphere. The best thing was to get close with the artiste themselves. To my surprise, they were friendly much. I got to chat a little and have a few pictures with the legendary Arrested Development and Slum Village. These old skool hip-hop cats was the real deal. SV’s was dedicating much to the late J.Dilla and Baatin. Real raw Detroit sound. Arrested Development rock the whole house with their energetic performance. If you were to be there, you could witnessed them performing live almost perfect as listening to their tracks on the radio. San Fran’s Triple threats DJ’s, Apollo, Vinroc and Shortkut was killing it the whole time on the deck. Accompanied by MC Fran Boogie, the stage was pumping crazy with good hip-hop tracks. The one that everybody was looking forward to was the Bronx favourite, Fat Joe. Who wouldn’t know the famous track “Lean back” & “What’s love”. Big up to Matteblacc for putting up this wonderful festival. We looking forward to have this again with a new line up next year!
Suave Clothing Co would like to wish you guys a happy Eid!
Catch episode 2 of Behind the Brand with Flesh Imp.
We interviewed Nicholas, Strategic Planning Director of Flesh Imp on brand building.
I was lucky to experienced first hand custom show. It was the first time for me to be in such convention. It was the “Art Of Speed 2015″ held in MAEPS, Serdang, Malaysia. Not too far away from KL City. I didn’t get to bring my camera along so all photographs were shot using my iphone. That sucks though. I had always had an eye for custom things. Whatever it could be as long as it’s customized. Los Angeles is one city known for kustom kulture and i always wanted to be there. Not a chance yet but still glad to be at a custom show just across Singapore. Apart from the work trip, one of the few reason for me to be there is because of my homeboys, Singapore’s own custom garage crew, Beard Brother’s Cycle who is involve in showcasing their custom bike and Choppa Joop who has amazing skills in his craft of leather works. I’v got to meet builders and artist like The Nash, Luck Mc, Heiwa Motorcycles, Scott Jones of Noise Cycles, Andy Carter of Pangea Speed, Shige SuganumaSan of Mooneyes and many more to mention. Indeed it was an amazing show as a whole. Live stunts, live paintings, loads of merchandise, sweet music, good food and too many friends met! From all the experiences, it gave me a lot more idea and perspective of being creative. All that would definitely be applied to mould Suave Clothiing Co. I personally would like to thanks Halim and Hanif of Kulkats for the hospitality. Till we meet again KL. Terima kasih!

Let us take you to the darker side. Leeyan Lyrael is a local visual artist who's works mainly emphasize the face of Unreality in the midst of reality - in which it reflects a certain hidden identity that represents each individuality. Her works also give a sense of morbidity and dark - all in which in a form of mostly fictional and narrative. Thus, once or twice with a little pinch of different ethnics and cultures .
