i know the book mentioned that like Yáo was a young guy but in the movie he kinda looks older

wouldn't it be funny if he actually WAS a young guy but just dyes his hair dray for no reason and has been super stressed therefor the eye bags

Honestly i think the project prematurely aged most of the astronaut volunteers i wouldn't get it past them if he developed a shit ton of grey hairs in like four years

Imagine like grace and carl celebrated succesfully breeding the astrophage they get a balloon an edited to be: "congrats! It's an astrophage!"

And then grace gets hail marie'd and the only thing carl has left of grace is the balloon and the money gone from his express card. He never uses the card again. The balloon pops one day and he can only tape up the hole.

There's nothing left of grace that carl has.
