Guys this is terrible advice.

Student loan debt is passed onto your estate when you die. It doesn’t go away.

If you have and therefore your estate has no assets, then there is nothing to take from your estate and your executors cannot be sued for their assets, unless you allocated part of your estate to them in a will, in which case your estate did have assets and they would be taken until the debt was fulfilled or your assets reached $0. Some people with large debt who know they are dying (like terminally ill patients with huge medical bills) will spend everything they have on other people prior to passing, leaving their estate with as little as possible and their loved ones with as many assets as possible, prior to their passing.
