Marking Territory

This morning, as I was walking to my train station, I saw a cat marking his territory…on a car. I had never seen a cat marking it’s territory. It was walking in front of the car, arched its hind side up & sprayed up onto the car bumper. I was taken off guard & felt bad for the owner whose car would now stink of cat urine. Freezing Morning Commute Attempt

This morning I suffered the WORST commute I’ve ever had in my life! The temperature was at the freezing mark, but it felt like -5F with the windchill factor when I woke up. Two Missed Trains

I missed my train this morning. It was already at my station when I crossed over to the entrance staircase. I wasn’t even halfway up the stairs when a second train arrived. I wouldn’t have made it even if I ran for it. When I passed the turnstiles, I saw I’d have to wait 10 minutes for the next train. So much for getting to work on time. Shoe Tree

   Someone flung a pair of sneakers onto one of the trees that my train platform overseas. I wonder if it’s to symbolize a death or to mark drug/gang territory. Growing up in the inner city, those were the reasons for shoe trees. Sometimes they were on street light poles or electrical wiring. Fire Escape Cats

Yesterday, when I reached the platform level at my train station, I noticed a tabby cat on the fire escape of the building at the corner. As I watched it going around, I noticed a black cat a few levels higher. They were just going up & down. Lucky Day

Today I felt like luck was on my side. I went to my calligraphy class in Queens & got there in an hour. Normally it takes at least an hour & a half from the Bronx. When I was going up the stairs to transfer to the N train at Times Square, I found a $5 bill :-). When I arrived at the calligraphy class, I ended up being the only one to show up, so I essentially got a personalized one-on-one class.…

Bag Man in New Shirt A-Hole

Today Bag Man was wearing a new shirt. He must’ve finally gone shopping. When the train arrived he bum-rushed me to go to my usual spot & took the only available seat. A-hole!
