It's very important to remind people that there was life before them and there will always be life after them.

"If I wouldn't do it to them, why are they doing it to me?"
Because they're watching you do it to yourself
The way we allow ourselves to be treated becomes the standard we teach other people to follow. Every time you ignore your own needs, excuse disrespect, abandon your boundaries, or accept less than you deserve, you're showing others what you'll tolerate
People don't always treat us the way we'd treat them. They often treat us the way we consistently treat ourselves
Now, why you're in that position is a different story. Maybe it's what love looked like growing up. Maybe it's fear of being abandoned, people pleasing, low self worth, or patterns you've never had the chance to question. There's always a reason, but there's also a way forward
The relationship you're willing to have with yourself is the relationship you'll often invite from others
Just try your best, get off your phone as much as you can, honor your hurt feelings and also the hurt feelings of others, favor sincerity over nonchalance whenever itās appropriate to, reach out to people you miss, let go of people when itās time, operate from a deeply rooted self respect rather than from a lens of what people think, try your best to read the room, sit in the sun on overcast days (with sunscreen on), drink lots of water, pursue everything you want aggressively, accept that your timeline will be different, welcome detours if circumstances call for them, hold both yourself and others accountable, try to move your body as much as you can and you will be okay diva

Controversial take but I think we more often need to accept that sometimes itās not personal, but that a person still doesnāt fuck with us. They donāt want a relationship with us, they donāt wanna be our friend. Weāre not their type for whatever reason. They donāt hate us but they arenāt interested in building something with us in any capacity. Itās not that they have a lot going on, itās not that they canāt receive love, itās not what a lot of people concoct just not to deal with the sting of rejection. Sometimes weāre just not somebodyās type. And thatās okay and we donāt have to curl up in fetal position in a corner about it. We will not be the type of every person we encounter and that is natural and nothing to lose sleep over
