Did you know that soda machines at restaurants and movie theaters spy on you? That most common new cars now record your sexual preferences and send it to the manufacturer (and also data about anyone who also gets in your car, walks by your car, and maybe happens to be within visual range of your car)? That grocery stores are trying to force customers to download an app to scan barcodes on shelves instead of putting up prices, so the app can scan the phone, decide how much that customer should be squeezed for, and adjust the price? That more and more innocent people are being sent to jail for crimes committed hundreds of miles away because an AI facial recognition algorithm spit their faces out and the cops didn't bother to do the most basic of checks?

I am not uptight about privacy because I'm hiding something. I'm uptight about it because the people who dismiss my right to privacy are dangerous to you and me and our families, personally, all the time.

And often, they are assholes, too.

real talk though it would be SO easy to make a good dragon ball continuation if they just killed Goku.

The original Dragon Ball had HEAVY elements of circle-of-life and legacy and heritage. DBZ literally ended with Uub coming into the picture (someone with the powers of Buu but no experience or training).

And the best part? HE CAN STILL GET STRONGER in other-world! He could finally be with his foster dad / grandpa! The first series literally starts off with "yeah he was probably the best martial artist but he's dead now" and Goku going around the world telling people the news.

Kill Goku, let enemies come to Earth in his absence, watch Gohan fumble the bag like always (bc he's too cocky!), let Gohan be the teacher he was alwasy meant to be (and was for Future Trunks), and let Uub step up!! (or literally anyone but you're actually racist if you ignore Uub)

Stop making him a child again!! 😭😭 Give a soft reset but show Goku having fun and unlocking more potential in the afterlife!! Show him being a problem to Grand Kai!! Tie in more mythology / spiritual beliefs of actual cultures instead of just making up characters like Zeno!

and i was applying to jobs with no weed and was reminded my body does this crazy thing where my pits sweat so profusely while applying to jobs why do they do that. I'm leaning on my hand sighing bc these jobs are depressing and im clicking through applications but my body is acting like making my underarms more smelly is gonna help me in this situation - i don't think it will.

Something I've Not Done

Something I've not done is following me I haven't done it again and again so it has many footsteps like a drumstick that's grown old and never been used

In late afternoon I hear it come closer at times it climbs out of a sea onto my shoulders and I shrug it off losing one more chance

Every morning it's drunk up part of my breath for the day and knows which way I'm going and already it's not done there

But once more I say I'll lay hands on it tomorrow and add its footsteps to my heart and its story to my regrets and its silence to my compass

trying to get a decent-paying job around here is literally awful, even if you have connections / talk to people, like:

you will meet someone with an okay job and of course it's middle management so you ask them how they got it / how you can work for this company and then all of a sudden you realize that the ONLY reason they have that job is because their boss trusted them to not have a single thought in their head and also they aren't hiring right now :(( sorry

and god forbid you have the displeasure of meeting someone who's a small business owner / upper management because they are literally the most vile people imaginable for like no reason. They hire people to do the same job they do, but don't tell them anything about the job so they don't know too much and then they will turn around to strangers (you) at the bar and make fun of their employees who are very very obviously struggling with home life and don't get paid enough and they expect you to laugh and agree politely like actually go kys.

Oh, just go to school! Okay, now i have a degree, but every job wants special certifications! Okay, let's get the certs... - need to pass exam. Okay, let's take exam/course... - it costs $2000 and also you can't sign up. Haha! Jokes on you, you need to be TOLD where to take the course, and usually the job pays for it! If you have certifications with no experience... it just looks sketchy!! Like, "how did you afford that? Why did noone hire you? Are you stupid or just socially inept? not my problem, also we're not currently hiring :)"

im trying to look up the original twitter handle / post of the drawing of the "universal psychospiritual map" made by, apparently, Yusuf Shakur, and all i find is 11s-2min videos made by AI where they say "This guy had a nde, but instead of talking about it, he DREW A PICTURE! 1! !! 123!!" and it's like... yeah. I wanna see it.

the other week i was looking up videos /audio recordings of the margray cat because someone said they imitate baby tamarin monkey cries and OH MY GOSH there is so many ai videos where they spend 3 minutes telling you "the margray cat imitates monkeys to eat them" and NO actual recording even exists yet there's DOZENS to HUNDREDS of these time-wasting videos and posts (and btw i think the only KNOWN recording of it is in the researchers' data and not publicly uploaded anywhere) it's just so useless.

the internet is a place where you get told things by ai voices and never actually see or hear them, now, i guess.

i saw a stupid ad where it was some guy saying "guys my 'faceless' youtube accounts aren't making money so I think this is a sign you shouldn't be making 5-10 'faceless' accounts and it's just like...
