Hi everybobby! Since I haven't done this in a minute, today I'm going to bore you a tad to explain & justify the route I have chosen. If I had to pick where to categorize my book in a store to make a statement, I'd put it in the 'crime fiction - different' section. It may not be the smartest whodunit ever written. It's probably not too complicated to understand what happened if you read carefully - though I will leave it all up to you to decide ;) I've intentionally added a few clues last minute for you to crack it. What more could you ask for?! Haha 'A Call From The Past' does not serve as a brain teaser. It's not what I meant to do with my debut novel. I just wanted to keep you guessing until the end. Just because - - "motive unknown". Instead, as I was planning what to write about, I was more intrigued by the social effects of crime within the small family circle and wanted to explore more from the point of view of those who suddenly find themselves caught in the eye of the tornado. Families of someone accused of murder tend to suffer a strange life. In most cases, it all boils down to shame. Most criminal/court cases get televised nowadays. And there will be fans and haters. It depends on who they'd feel more connected to. You might be the good guy to some. You might be the bad one to others. As if we knew how the story had really taken place - just by sitting on our couch watching the TV as the host blabbers away. Ok now. Have you ever noticed that family and close relatives are always the last to know? They are biased. One just can't think straight. We'd all be deaf and blind, too. It's highly unlikely that under those circumstances we'd get to put into question the invisible strings that bind us to our loved ones. We may see a glimpse of truth and what it feels like, if we are smart enough - but we'll never be able to see the whole picture. Am I getting too deep, Olivia? Elena Presti would say. Maybe not. I'm probably just giving too much away. As is my habit. Over & out. ~Suede #newbook #crime #mystery #thriller #rocks #lake #lakes #justifymyself #theroadlesstaken #crimefiction #different #whudunit #suedegoldmann #acallfromthepast https://www.instagram.com/p/CiIN8Sbo_3G/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
