why did you choose your url it’s a pun, kind of… calcium = kelseyum…? i have never capitalized on this pun in any way, shape, or form. there’s another blog out there named kelsium but mine is the original

if you could be a fictional/fairytale being, what would you be ive actually thought about this. in my better moments i am a chubby angelic deer satyr. in my darker moments i am a fat goblin who wears a deer skin and pretends to be cute. sljkdlaks i think its funny i don’t have high aspirations, being “cute” is the most i would hope for, i don’t want any fantasy fairy tale responsibilities lol

top four fandoms this is a tricky questions b/c i barely participate in fandoms at all. im not gonna count pet sites and see if i can come up with four. les mis, obviously, as the source for my otp & favorite fictional character. mlp because, well, ponies. steven universe i guess? i think i follow one whole steven universe blog, i enjoy the canon so much i dont feel like i need fandom for it tbh. jem doesn’t count yet as i’ve only gotten started so let’s say… monster high? there are movies and i follow like 3 monster high blogs so that COUNTS yes i did it

i think if i had to, i could get rid of chums in exchange for a new pet... hes cute, hes a placeholder and i like pirate aishas but hes not much of a Character, i think i could get rid of him if i had to. not that you asked,

it was funny, when i was starting on neopets gelerts were my favorite... now i only have nausea and he hardly counts since hes mutant & ive always had him, i didnt seek him out after coming back to neo...

sometimes i dont know which is more of a true representation of myself. the pets i kept from When I Was Young On Neopets or the pets i actively sought out and got after I came back. like tomi & katmisha are very True representations, they were favorite pets who used to have designs, their cheap colors and mashed together names are good examples of how i used to have all my pets.

im sooooo bad at logging into my sides to feed my pets, & then i dont feed the pets on my main because the other ones would get jealous if they were the only ones to be fed... we need like, tweetdeck for your neopets accounts. make it easy to go back and forth

i used 2 trade all the time because i had too many neopoints so i was essentially buying pets thru PDEs, it was an incredible time for me. nowadays i dont trade at all, even back then it was v frustrating & im glad to be Full and Done, i have all the pets i want! unless they come out with another cute aisha color im SET

i say this periodically so people know– it’s okay to tag my artwork with #kin or #me! i love it! i love people connecting to my work that way! a kin feel is not a common thing to evoke in someone and if you feel it to anything i make then i’m glad i was able to satisfy that part of you. the idea of my work sitting in people’s kin tags as unpredictable self-image affirmation is really lovely.

speaking of memory lane, i've been looking up all my old neopets art idols & reveling in the nostalgia

laurensama was a huge inspiration to me -- sadly, they've taken down all their petpages, which I remember loving. One time I wrote them a neomail telling them how much I enjoyed their comic & saved their "thank you" response in my inbox for ages, totally starstruck. i'm really enjoying looking over their neopian times archive page though.

random_joy was another NT comic artist who made cute characters for her pets... Giving was one of my favorite characters, to the point where I started drawing ixis and made my own ripoff neopet character named "Child of Giving." Obviously that character didn't stick lmao. They do still have petpages up though, so you can read their NT comics in order and look at all the adorable fanart still uploaded, wow...

i'm sure there were others but i remember these 2 specifically as huge inspirations to me... ♥ it makes me want to work harder & be more active on neopets!!! maybe i can inspire other people the way they've inspired me!

does anyone remember the artist who used to draw bishie krawks? like all their krawks were anime & beautiful--this would probably be like, 6 years ago at least. i remember their art being really glowy and textured, too, and it was pretty much all krawks/draiks.

i'm taking a trip down memory lane & for the life of me i can't remember--i think their username had something like 'bulma' in it, or that was what they went by? does anyone know who i'm talking about?
