I've started typing an update like 17 times and I always stop mid sentence and forget or feel too exhausted to articulate anything well worded so here's this instea - Sprout was discharged from the hospital at 12 days old. It would've been sooner but his jaundice levels went too high twice and required a second round of phototherapy. - He hasn't had any formula since he was 3 days old, my milk took longer to come in because of needing blood transfusions. He's had two bottles of breast milk since last Monday, other than that he's been nursing like a champ. Albeit every two hours with long periods of cluster feeding. I'm exhausted but thankful my body is cooperating. - My iron is still low and I'm not recovering half as fast as I did after my other two pregnancies. If Andrew wasn't still on leave from work and helping with the rest of the flock I don't know wtf I would do. - Despite feeling like a an old sock physically I've been in a constant state of bliss otherwise. I'm so in love with this baby and my family and this life I've been blessed with.

Symptom: Long, pale leaves; small new leaves Cause: Not enough light; too much nitrogen Cure: Give plant more light; reduce fertilizer frequency

Symptom: Leaves curl under or have yellow or brown spots Cause: Too much light Cure: Move plant away from light source, or shade plant with blinds or sheer curtain

Symptom: Mushy stems; lower leaves curl and wilt Cause: Too much water Cure: Water only when soil is dry to touch; make sure drain hole is not clogged

Symptom: Leaf tips are brown and leaves wilt Cause: Not enough water Cure: Soak pot for 20 minutes in water and let drain; water when soil is dry to touch

Symptom: Leaf edges are crinkly and brown Cause: lack of humidity Cure: Mist leaves, or place pot on tray of moist pebbles

Nugget is 3 days old 😱 I'll eventually get around to typing out his birth story tomorrow. So far he's doing excellent, he needed a bit of oxygen in his first few minutes and then room air for a few hours, other than that he hasn't needed any other interventions. He's being treated for jaundice with phototherapy lights, tomorrow I'll find out if his levels are staying down. Because of a lot of blood loss after I had him and needing two blood transfusions (I'll elaborate in the birth story) I didn't produce any milk after the first bit of colostrum until last night, now today my milk came in a hurry and I'm pumping enough to start a supply and Nugget no longer needs any formula! He's taking everything by bottle right now, being little along with the jaundice makes him too sleepy to nurse but so far so good he's eating like a champ. I'm so beyond in love with him. I'm not even in a big hurry to take him home to be honest, I'm just enjoying all of our time together before we go home and everything gets hectic again. I'm staying in a parent room in the hospital on the same floor as the NICU. The doctor may let him room with me tomorrow depending on how he's doing and if his weight is up in the morning.

Sporadic contractions all day. Barely got up off the couch but I feel exhausted. Andrew got me Chinese takeout, it was so good I felt like crying 😂 Now I'm exhausted even though I only left the couch today to pee. I'm going to watch Shameless reruns and try to sleep and pray little man stays put. S arrived today and tomorrow after my appointments we're taking them all to laser tag and the movies to celebrate his birthday that was on the 3rd, so this baby needs to cooperate at least until that's over 🙏🏻

Sprout went to bed around 9 and was back up at 10 coughing and crying which isn't like him. It took a half an hour, Paw Patrol and a Popsicle to get him settled, he seems he's more content now but the cough is still there. I hope it's not the beginnings of croup again 😩 Hopefully it's just the weather, it rained all day.
