so recently when i was out perusing the local thrift store i found an alphasmart 3000 for literally ten dollars and it gave me so much nostalgia (i used to have to use them in school!!) it basically considered itself a necessary expense. of course as soon as i got it i plugged it in at the library to see if there were still files, and there WERE, in ALL EIGHT FILE SLOTS. oh it was my lucky day. i'll post in a second the text from them. the better (? perhaps equally good) thing was when i opened her up to replace the corroded rechargeable battery (who sells these things to a secondhand store without taking that out these days???) i found THIS on her...

isn't that amazing??? the files on it are pretty amazing too - they're like the answers to the most 90's-early aughts high school history (?? social studies?) ever.

how's it going around tumblr these days? things are well with chess, we're playing a lot of checkers these days, which is funny because i'm actually really good at checkers and chess hates it fully. it won't stop snowing which is ass and terrible to bike in but i'm crossing my fingers it'll start warming up soon! other than that it's all same old, same old. here's hoping things are a little more interesting on your ends
