Koushi Sugawara

“You’re happy being with me, right?” Koushi’s gentle voice hummed into your ear, his tone practically begging for the response he wanted to hear. Listening to his ardent pleas was heart-wrenching, as if seeing your best friend slowly descend into madness wasn’t enough already. 

“Of course, my love.” You gingerly smoothed his messy and thick eyebrows down before allowing your fingers to find respite in his silver locks. He mewled as tears dotted his lower eyelids, happy you’d come to see things his way. His hands grasped your free hand and pulled it upwards to cup his cheek, where he gratefully leaned into your touch.

And you let him. You no longer feared him – pity had long replaced those bitter feelings. Despite holding you captive for nearly two weeks now, you could only feel empathy and sorrow for your boyfriend, your captor. 

“Living” here was no different from how you lived before, anyways. You always spent most of your free time at his place, so things were no different – save for his erratic personality shift and the cage he’d set up just for you. But at least he treated you well, allowing you all the personal space and alone time you needed without ever threatening to take away your rights.

But the poignant and longing look in his liquid gold eyes was harrowing. Shivers rolled down your spine every time he gazed at you – the boy you knew was long gone, replaced by someone much more unstable and unfamiliar. Though, perhaps he was always like this, beneath his warm smiles and gentle aura. It saddened you that he chose this route – a route he knew would undermine all the trust you’d put in him. He didn’t have to go this far just to keep you by his side, but news of you leaving had made him so disillusioned that everything else no longer mattered.

“I love you, [Name]. I love you so much it hurts.” His lips trembled, his hand instinctively clutching the area above his heart. Your stomach fell at the sight. He was truly hurting.

“I love you too, Suga. I will always love you, no matter what happens.”

“Promise?” Those deceitfully innocent eyes peered into your soul, hopelessly searching for the lie in your words. He found none.

Daichi

Given that this is Daichi, this is definitely planned and not sprung up on y'all

After a couple months of trying, you finally show him that positive pregnancy test and he’s so happy

He takes you out to a special dinner that night, price doesn’t matter, you’re both celebrating entering this next big chapter in your life together

He also knows your cravings are going to go crazy, so best to get the expensive food out of the way now

Spends the first couple of months v much worrying over you. He knows you want to keep working but is worried you’re overworking yourself.

Is v tempted to talk with your boss about you taking time off early

But he knows you’ll kill him if he does

Spends a lot of time talking to the baby, but no baby talk. He will talk in his regular voice to your baby, giving it encouraging words and telling it how much he’ll love it

You both agree to find out the gender as soon as possible so you can tell your families the news

and also have time to prepare the nursery and buy clothes

Not that he’s putting monster trucks and transformers in every corner, he also wants to emotionally prepare to have a boy or girl

He knows if he has a boy, he’ll be set. He can definitely raise a boy to be respectful, strong, and emotionally stable.

But if it’s a girl, he’s very worried he will be out of his league.

You comfort him though and tell him you’ll give him any pointers that he’ll need

You end up ordering a lot of takeout the further you get into your pregnancy cuz Daichi isn’t the best cook

He tries soooo hard not to give in and eat all your craving food with you because he doesn’t want to gain sympathy weight lmao

Once you go into labor he is your rock, he holds your hand the whole time and puts on the team captain voice

But once your baby’s there in your arms his voice is so soft and he can’t stop smiling and kissing you

He takes paternity leave off work because he can’t stand the thought of losing bonding time with your baby for those first important months

Suga

This is like, half-planned and half-unplanned

You guys had talked about having a baby for a while, then when you skipped a period you had a feeling it had finally happened

Sure enough, you took a pregnancy test and it was positive

Suga was soooo happy, he had the goofiest smile on his face that didn’t go away the rest of the day

He, much like Daichi, decides to celebrate taking this next step in your married life together

Suga cooks all your favorite dishes, he insists on doing it alone but eventually lets you in the kitchen to help him

Whenever you’re both home, he always has his hands on your belly

He talks to the baby using baby voices, it’s adorable

You’re both soooo excited to find out the gender but beg the doctor not to tell you because you want it to be a surprise

Theres a lot of late nights decorating the nursery that end with the two of you standing in the middle of the room, holding each other and savoring the feeling of your belly cradled between you two

Unlike Daichi, Suga gives in every now and then and has some of your cravings food with you

He takes off of work at the tail end of your pregnancy to make sure he doesn’t miss the birth of your baby

When you’re in labor he is kinda panicking. He’s giving you soft, encouraging words and praising you for how well you’re doing, but he also hates seeing you in pain

He’s probably crying tbh because omg my wife is screaming and in pain and I can’t do anything but stand here

Once your baby’s born he’s ready to pass out, but forces himself to stay awake to get pictures of the first time you hold the baby.

He cries again when it’s his turn to hold the baby

Once everything is taken care of, he lays in your hospital bed with you and the baby and falls asleep to the sound of the baby’s breathing.

He also takes paternity leave so he can be home with you and the baby (getting a fuckton of pictures so he can show off the baby photo albums to all his friends)
