one of the most underrated little storylines within the affair arc is when katie sees robert's 'kiss and make up?' text to aaron (under 'A') and robert goes through this whole ordeal this entire little scheme to make her think it's actually alicia who he's having an affair with so he can THEN confront katie and go well OBVIOUSLY I'm not having an affair with alicia. IDIOT. but then it doesn't really get him out of the woods so literally in the moment he just calls aaron's number and aaron picks up and in front of everyone in the pub he's like yeah i was just being playfully homophobic to my business partner sawry ^_^ HIS CRAZY MIND!!! and everyone believes it because they're like yeah this fucking asshole
