Update: the problem i originally thought it had was not the real problem. Additional repairs may not even be possible, and if they are they will be very expensive. Thankfully i have a very kind mother who is willing to pay for it if i manage her parents old summer cottage for over a week alone with my 2 dogs while shes at work back in the country we live in. Im in the middle of nowhere and there is only an outhouse for a bathroom.
