Why  was  he  trying?  This  is  Rin  after  all.  Everything  for  him,  was  his  own  opinion.  It  had  to  be  right,  or  it  was  wrong.  For  someone  younger  than  Isagi,  it  was  annoying.  He  didn't  care  about  the  background  he  came  from;  he's  been  studying  soccer  for  a  long  time  now.  There  was  no  point  in  trying  to  get  along  with  him;  he  should  have  grabbed  his  things  and  walked  away.  Find  a  quiet  place  away  from  everyone.  But  there  was  always  something  about  Rin  that  pissed  him  off  more  than  anyone  here.  Even  worse  than  when  Kaiser  was  around. 

Hearing  the  other's  voice,  it  was  almost  like  something  snapped.  “  Shut  up!”  Isagi  shouted.  With  everything  that  was  going  on,  this  was  the  last  thing  he  wanted  to  happen.  His  eye  twitched  and  snapped  back  to  look  at  him

“  I  had  it!  You  are  the  one  who  wants  to  bite  my  head  off  every  time  I  do  something!  It's  not  my  fault  you're  jealous  ---”  he  hissed.  Isagi  knew  this  wasn't  his  fault;  he  had  it  in  the  spot,  but  Rin  had  to  come  up  behind  him,  his  feet  were  in  the  wrong  spot  –  everything  he  worked  hard  to  beat  the  other  male.  Rin  had  to  ruin  it.   Isagi  was  gripping  the  towel  a  little  harder;  if  he  let  go  of  it,  he  might  make  himself  bleed  in  his  palm. 

His  own  thoughts:  Isagi,  walk  away,  this  isn't  worth  it.  Rin  isn't  worth  it. 

The  male  inhales  deeply  for  a  moment.  Trying  to  calm  himself,  but  it  didn't  last  long.   "You  failed  to."  He  snapped  back.  “  The  only  time  you  even  had  to  chance,  and  you  went  to  take  it  away  from  me.”  Why  was  his  chest  hurting  so  much?  Panic?  Was  his  own  temper  really  causing  him  to  lose  himself  even  more?  The  more  he  listened  to  Rin  speak,  the  more  he  wanted  to  punch  him  –  no,  if  they  started  a  fight,  Ego  would  find  out.  Hell,  Isagi  couldn't  win  that.  “  Fuck  you,  Rin.  We  lost  because  of  you.  You  couldn't  control  yourself,  and  you  wanted  to  overtake  me.  I  wasn't  —  we  were  not  fast  enough  against  Loki.  ”  Still,  letting  him  go  this  deep  into  his  own  despair  wasn't  like  him.  No  matter  what,  he  knew  he  was  a  target  against  him  –  by  everyone.

Remaining where he was, only a sliver of space between them that builds up tension so thick that a guillotine couldn't cut it. Rin's listening— for once, he's hearing out this bastard's pathetic words. For someone who had all that confidence in NEL to dwindle down to this… mediocre player is embarrassing. How many times will people say that these two cogs are fit to be together? When in actuality, Isagi's a skin tag that Rin can't rip off without damaging himself. What did that four-eyed coach see in him? What did Sae see in him? What makes Isagi Yoichi this so-called striker that everyone wanted a piece of? Sure, Rin, too, wanted a piece of him— he is the most infuriating person that he's encountered in his whole life. Crushing Isagi became a hobby, no, a hunt. A predator that has its sights on the next meal, destined to be devoured. Torn apart. Their ideals don't match up, but they could coexist.

Jealous— jealous, huh? The corner of his mouth twitched, an unrecognizable expression displayed itself. Sharp teals darkening in pure unadulterated vexation. Jealousy is an emotion that Rin's fought off a handful of times, jealousy is never coiling around his mind, telling him to destroy everything that gets in his way. In order to become better, one must destroy themselves. To be embraced by the beast that is harboring deep, deep within. A monster that comes out when it's the right time. Unpredictability is his strongest — nobody can mark Rin correctly on the field. “… jealous,” he repeated, venom hanging off the tip of his tongue. Poisonous.

One foot shifts forward, then another, the towel is discarded behind him, forgotten on the floor. The second he's in Isagi's bubble a hand shot out, clasped around the male's jaw. Rin looms over him, a heavy shadow that's capable of swallowing him up. “ You think that I would be jealous of someone like you—” he mutters bitterly, glaring into blue hues that brewed anger. A look that he's seen once every so often ; Isagi's only tolerable when his ego is deflated — that's the only way Rin can acknowledge him. Forget about the cheery smiles, cheeky remarks that aren't threatening enough. His head dips, close enough that a warm breath wafts over Isagi's skin, their noses touching momentarily.

“ You're mistaken. I suggest you get that fucking idea out of your head, Isagi, “ his hand shifted downward, encircling his fingers around the man's throat. If he pressed down… that wouldn't end great. Rin's not here to become a murderer— he's here to reach his goal, use all the pawns as a stepping stone. But the urge to harm Isagi grows rapidly in his veins, burning him, pushing him to go with the impulsive choice. As much as he wanted to snap his fucking neck, Rin doesn't do that. Instead he gives the quickest of squeeze, a warning, before shoving the man into the lockers behind. Who cares about the ruckus that can happen in this room? They're out of sight of the cameras, anything could happen.

“ Blaming me for your mistakes, that’s typical coming from the guy who’s letting the number one spot go to his head. Should everyone worship your shit just because you think you’re the best? You think being on the top makes you unbeatable, “ Isagi’s not worthy enough for Rin to really give much attention — not like this, not when the latter is moping, bitching. “ Loki wasn’t the biggest issue for you — your issue was Hugo. Did you lose all that confidence over some guy telling you you’re fit for second best? Maybe it's not your plays that need help, it's that brain of yours that's going to get us fucked over. "

The fate of the team being held in Isagi’s hands was bound to crumble apart. How can they move forward if their tactics are solely focused on the individual who wasn’t thinking correctly? Rin’s jaw tightened, close to snapping. He should leave, let this bastard think alone but god be damned if Isagi gets to leave this locker room without being scratched. “ Fix your mistakes, learn from them. If not— I’ll kill you. “

Isagi’s words are beyond reaching to his ears – did this idiot truly think he had the upper hand over him? Thinks he’s so good at trying to intimidate him? He’s nothing but shit underneath his shoe. Nothing but an object that Rin wanted to crush— tear apart, dismantle, turn him into an unrecognized pile of his own organs. Isagi Yoichi is the biggest thorn inside of his heart, aside from the lingering words that Sae told him clung to his brain. Rin’s never going to forget them— never will he push past the idea that he’ll end up being a second choice, never the first. Right now? It’s not about his shitty brother— it’s about getting Isagi to bend a knee.

“ Are you done throwing a tantrum? “ Rin cants his head, giving an indignant look towards the shorter male. He can see it all; the frustration, the desperation, loss, how they pretty much fucked up the entire match— it was not his fault.

They didn’t have enough time— all their strategies were last minute, if anything Rin does give credit to Karasu for switching it up. Fingers twitching, contemplating on just grabbing the man by his collar or doing something way worse. Everyone had left with tension on their shoulders, cleaned from the showers, although Rin had stayed behind in the locker room to force his brain to shut itself off. Calm. Recollect what had transpired in the match, think it over, imagine what it would be if things weren’t so fucking hectic. Can’t do that if there’s a sprout muttering to himself— interrupting his thoughts.

“ Was it all about you then, “ he retorts. “ I think you’re fucking stupid for getting all in your head. Your attempts failed more than once, Isagi. “ What was he supposed to do? Comfort him? Give words of encouragement to keep Isagi from drowning in the brink of despair? No. Rin’s not here to coddle him, stroke his bland ego that wasn’t fully developed. The towel that was draped around his shoulder is yanked off, being used to wipe the excess sweat that clung around his forehead. “ Maybe you should reconsider that everything isn’t about you all the fucking time. Calling me a loser won’t help the fact that we lost — because of you. “

Rin wanted a pet when he was little but mama itoshi was like No cause she doesn't trust her own child + he's jumping off of things, being weird ( in her opinion ), and is constantly breaking toys so rin held a big grudge against her. that grudge dies down when he encounters frank ( tatsu's precious cat ) yet frank is his Number 1 enemy and rin doesn't fuck with him like that however he treats frank as if he's his own first born and spoils him out of tatsu's presence. he's very, very, very weak to animals.

host club verse. wip-ish.

randomly got scouted whilst out and about doing errands. didn't want to join at first, joined a month later after thinking it over.

Rin's not a talkative person ( obviously ), so he plays as a listener rather than a regular host who wants to entertain the guests, spoil them, etc etc.

Guests aren't allowed to touch the host without permission, there's always a bodyguard lingering about in the main ball room to make sure customers aren't being freaks

Hosts are assigned specific colors. Rin's color is teal.

Guests are allowed to only have Two hosts at a time but they have to pay double for extra time. In the catalogue of the first page are the top hosts of the week. Due to Rin being New he's not allowed to be assigned to anyone until after two weeks of training on being a host.

While in training he's usually the waiter, giving food, drinks/refills, all the regular stuff. Sometimes guests request for him but that's not allowed because he's not Official yet.

Duos are very popular in the club! Sometimes trios, but you have to pay a hefty amount to have all three people there.

Pictures are a-okay, but they cost extra.

rin has heard the most bizarre conversations from clients; gambling addictions, thinking about cheating on their partners, committing frauds, just very weird shit you don't hear out in a public setting.

Some clients only come here to relax after a tiresome day of working or they just want to have a companionship with the hosts.

Guests are seated far away from other customers to give more of a 'private session', so you won't hear voices overlap.

Karaoke! That's an everyday activity. Hosts perform songs of their choosing! They can sing solo, duos, or have other hosts as their background dancers. Drunk karaoke happens too.

Rin doesn't drink nor smokes, but he tolerates his clients smoking/drinking around him. He counts every drink that the customer orders in case they get too shit faced.

This club is focused on emotional/social interaction, however, if you spend a grand amount of money on said host, you can have a physical interaction with them, too. That's only if you're a premium member, have been going to the club for a year straight, and had three different hosts stamp your rally card.

Premium members get to stay overnight, see what their favorite hosts do after hours, get photocards, merch, etc etc.

Uniforms change every season, most are formal attire. Event days happen every twice a month so for example they'll be a maid day, all hosts dressed in maid uniforms ( high quality outfits ), animal day, hero/villain day, etc. The interior of the place changes too so be sure to drop in regularly to see new things.

The club does provide housing for those who want to stay closer to work / can't afford their own place. Management does take care of their staff greatly. It is possible for hosts to live together, too. Only five per person.

Half the time whenever the main group performs, Rin's either on drums or another instrument. Does it bother him? Nope. Especially if it's a setlist where his voice isn't Used as much he'd rather just blend in the background.

Rin's favorite drummers are Kavka Shishido and Hona Ikoka , and considers them as inspirations.

Has broken his drumsticks at least five times during practice and during live, carries extras on him just to be safe.
