Drawing & Expression in Child Education Program
Child Education and Development Program
As part of my internship with TRY NGO, we organized a Drawing Activity for children in the slum area. With basic stationery like crayons, pencils, and drawing sheets, we encouraged them to draw anything they loved—nature, family, or dreams.
The outcome was inspiring. Some children drew their homes and families, others drew flowers, while a few drew their aspirations, like becoming a doctor or teacher. These pictures were more than just drawings; they were windows into their thoughts and hopes.
Experience & Learning: I learned that art is a universal language. Even without words, children express their emotions and dreams through drawings. It was fulfilling to witness how such a simple activity could spark creativity and motivation.
Impact: This activity not only improved their concentration and imagination but also gave them a platform to express feelings they may not verbalize. It also created a safe, happy learning environment.
